Congrats on the op mate. It looks like nice clean work which should give you nice hairline when grown out in a few months.

I had a similar procedure about 1 week earlier than you so we are in the same boat. A Lot of my hairs are hanging around also and seem to be still growing 4 weeks post op where am i now. Fingers crossed they grow without shedding.!

Yes put supplied cream on it religiously.

Any shedding kicked in yet Scott?

I defo had some shedding kick in in earnest right after the 1 month mark. Although there are still a few in place. Perhaps 50%.

Im just coming up to 5 weeks this week.

Ive buzzed down all over to grade 1 again. Fingers crossed for some early growth!

Hi Bob,

Yeh there's been shedding since a couple of weeks after.

I was told not to get it cut for a month which is up tomorrow so I'm debating whether to give myself a number 1 again or wait!

Given that I'll hopefully be getting some more grafts maybe next month I might just shave it!

Keep me posted how you're doing! From what I've been told the shedding should stop at 6 weeks and then hopefully have 30% coverage at 3 months.

Hi Scott,

Ive given myself a grade 1 and it looks pretty good if i do say so myself ! I was a bit apprehensive but it definitly looks better when its all the one length. I even went slighty shorter on the sides and back and theres no evidence of any extractions.

Its defo worth doing as its disguised nicely the thinnning in the front from the shedding.

Hi Thanks for the pictures and updates , Is that right your going for another procedure in a month , I would suggest you wait for some time my freind , give yourself time to heal properly , its just not externaly that has to heal , I was exactly the same as you but honestly I took the advice and glad i did , remember when they go for the crown they will be looking for the 2&3 grafts , the donar needs time to heal , just kindly advice , have agreat day and am looking forward to your updates

Yeh decided to shave it when I got in last night, looks ok.

I'm sure I'll survive, I managed to cope with a 16 hour op for 2684 grafts in one go so tbh 500-1000 grafts is a walk in the park!

No numbness Scott. I did have some proper pain in the first 1-2 weeks though in the donor.
It used to wake me up every night and i had to ride it out with painkillers.

I was told it was the occiptal nerve repairing itself. Back to 100% now though.

Numbness is not all uncommon though from what i have read. Perfectly normal and may be even take a few months to correct from ive seen around.

Know what you mean regarding pain! I was taking strongest co-codamol and nurofen 3/4 times per day for over 2 weeks after.

Have to say it was worth it though!

Could be partly to do with me only taking a couple of days off after op.

Had a look at your pics, looks good and looks like you got most/all of your grafts in the front too?

I did consider getting less there but was convinced by surgeon that if I got all in front it wouldn't likely need to be revisited even if hair still there all falls out.
