Hi Topcat and everyone on the forum, not been on in a long time but was reading my 2 year old post, some negative and positive statements, some good advice and some bad advice, I've had 2 fut hair transplants with dr path in Bangkok, jan12 and dec12, can't really say if they've been a good success or not but I'm happy with them, have to use toppik which is brilliant stuff and still have a bald patch on my crown, I'v had almost 6000 grafts but I was nw6, I'm about to start finasteride, give it a try to see if it will make hair regrow on my 48 year old crown, all I can say abut my experiences were that it wasn't that bad, my scar is undetectable at number 6 and my head feels like I've never had a transplant so I wouldn't discourage anyone from having fut although my next transplant will be fue, more than 2 fut is maybe too risky for my scar, I'm not saying as I was accused of before like it's going to the dentist but it is minor surgery and I've been out for a meal on the evening of both my transplants, if anyone wants to know anything about my experiences feel free to ask, I put this in as a reply to your post Topcat because you were so wrong, I thought everything through and had a few consultations before making my decision, your advice although well intentioned to wait 2 years was bad advice, I'd still be norwood 6 so glad I never took it, good luck to everyone starting out on this journey, I think from my point of view it's worth it.
