Sometimes creating the look of a natural hair line is harder when there is still some native hair, as the design has to work around what they still have, so matching the tone and creating the right tone can be demanding.

This is great work, I like it a lot. What time frame after the initial session are the after pictures taken? Its useful to know how long after the session it will be before the ink and scalp settle down.

This patient has some native hair which exit the scalp in varying diameters depending on the graft size, do you compensate for this by varying the size of the dots to mimic the naturalness?

Thanks for the positive comment.

Each case can vary dependent on how the skin takes to the pigment, and how long between each session. In this case there was about 3 weeks between the first and second session, then just over 3 months to last last session, the "result" pictures I posted.

Having native hair, as I said earlier can help to create a result but can be more demanding to blend with the pigment. In the majority of cases it ´s not so much the size of the dots but the tone depth, in terms of contrast not how deep it is placed. Generally the size or coarseness of the hair is not going to give that much contrast that a larger dot needs to be placed, and much larger starts to look unnatural anyway.

(I know you ´ve asked for larger close-up pictures of a result posted by one of our patients, I will post larger pictures in the next days)

Hi bullitnut,

There are almost 50 different tones but around 15-20 are used on a regular basis, the extremes at either end of the scale rarely are used.
