when is it safe to wear a baseball cap firmly and securely (not loosely) on the transplanted graft areas?

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Most clinics have their own post op protocol but after my procedures I wore one loosely straight afterwards. I would wait at least 10 to 12 days before tightening the hat in my opinion, this also depends on whether it's FUE or FUT. It's a good idea to wait until the staples/sutures are out so as not to aggravate the sutures/staples if worn too tight.

Warm wishes bullitnut

I waited approximately 10 days post to fasten the straps on my hat, although i wore one loosely after one day with no harm done to the grafts as far as i know.

I take it that follicles would be considered to be secure by day 10 then?

Studies show that they are. It might be best to consider the two week mark to be the point where they're absolutely, positively safe and secure, though.

Well I would recommend you not to wear basketball cap for at least 30 days post operation on the transplant graft areas as those are the most sensitive areas and it needs proper care for some days after the operation. Hence it would be better if you give some fresh air to your transplanted areas.
