Post op FUE redness

Hi Guys I am 3 weeks post op and all going well so far grafts started shedding one by one after about 10 days, I have a question for some who have experience, The recipient area is fairly red I am applying Aloe Vera since about day 12 or so, two different types, One is more purer and stronger however it leaves my skin on my face red for about 10 -15 minutes after application. Anyway with regard to redness I am due back at work in less than 3 weeks and Im hoping the redness might fade by then. Any tips for reducing the redness? How long will it last? I am toying with the idea of shaving the head but not sure if it would make it look worse or grow the hair long to cover the area. As I have had work done on the temples its fairly obvious something is artificial, Thanks for ya help!!

It sounds like you have sensitive skin if the aloe vera is causing a reaction initially. The redness will subside on it's own but for some people it can take months rather than weeks. Aloe vera should help, if not you can try some concealer/foundation make up it works well in covering this.

You could try DermMatch as that's pretty good. As Garageland says you may have sensitive skin or your body just takes longer to heal.
Anti inflammatory creams may work. I took Aspirin for redness which helped me personally.

Hey mate,

I used the aloe Vera gel from boots. I can't remember the brand name but it was a green bottle with yellow lid. I still use it from time to time but it helped me out for the first three months or so and my redness has now disappeared. I only apply now when my scalp is itchy!

I was referring to a foundation make up that you would apply to cover redness any will do just make sure it is a good match for your skin tone.
