I'm looking forward to better quality updated pictures. Your current pics are blurry with strange lighting and your pre-ops are very small. It would be great to get better quality pics for all intents and purposes. It is still early to make judgement, but I can see your concerns as well.

Your 1300 grafts from your first session, was it via FUE too? Do you happen to have pre-op pics before any surgery? How about immediate post op from Prohair?

I understand that everyones sitting on the fence a bit at the moment because the pictures aint that great and theres still alot of time for improvement, however, i'm interested to know, if he does't get anymore growth which looks likely. What has gone wrong? what things can go wrong? There's a lot of great results on this forum, however, there must be a percentage of cases which have this problem or others. Even the top clinics.

Sorry shang with the greatest of respect buddy, how can you say it looks unlikely he wont get anymore growth dude, he could very well be a very late bloomer as spex says on shln PATIENCE is the key. I agree that he should wait 12months too dude, thats why i think so many are sat on the fence right now....i also agree the pics arn't great, come on IR get yourlass to give us hair geeks some proper pics to ogle:)
I realize it must be hard when people say be patient and i truly hope you are a late bloomer and get a good outcome you deserve it
best wishes bn

Its alright BN, you dont have to be sorry, thats the whole point of a forum to agree and disagree, to share concepts and opinions etc. All i'm saying is things are looking weak, however, he may look like chewbacca in a few months.

I agree, its way too early to make a judgement as he may still experience a lot of growth which we all hope happens.

I`ve seen quite a few results lately on various forums where the patient is concerned at 7-10 months and the advice is the same as ever, you have to wait at least 12 months, sometimes 16 months is mentioned.

Once the patient is at 12 months, hopefully he will be able to visit Prohair and get the doctors opinion on the growth.

I feel for Irish Rover as he will be viewing other patients results and thinking wow,why aren`t my results like that but i think he has accepted that he needs to wait a little while longer to evaluate the final outcome.

We all are rooting for you Irish Rover and Prohair seem to be doing everything possible to help too.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to give you an update on my progress. I have had some growth the last few months. I would say maybe 60% of the grafts have grown through. So i'm in a better position now, that I was 3 or 4 months ago. I had a meeting with ProHair on Monday and discussed my case. They were honest in their assessment. It wasn't a disaster, but it wasn't what they would have liked either. Bart took a few pictures and maybe someone from the clinic can post them here if asked?

I was offered a free procedure or a 50% refund. I opted for the refund because having another HT right now does not suit.

In the end, I was satisfied with how they handled my case. I was very angry a couple of months ago, but they did get in contact with me, told me I was not going to be left alone and whatever happens they will make sure I am left as happy as possible. Bart did seem to genuinely care and was honest with his assessment, which I appreciated.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here for the support they offered. It really was a great help. If you have any questions, let me know.

Cheers,

IR

IR..

glad to hear things worked out "sort of ok" for you.

I guess this teaches us all a lesson that even with good clinics things can turn out not as expected... but its nice to hear that Pro-Hair did not just "shut you out"...and were helpful..

When I rang to complain about my first HT with a UK butcher... all I got was the offer of another HT at full price and no explanation...

Never mind..

All the best

Tim

Thanks Irish Rover for keeping us updated.

I`m pleased you have experienced more growth, although not the desired amount.

Its also good to hear how Prohair clinic/Bart has handled this situation and did not hang you out to dry or simply try and sell you another HT.

If you do opt for more work in the fue maybe get a test session to make sure it grows.

Take care.

Thanks guys.

I'll ask Bart to send me the photos he took and I can post them for u all to have a luck. It looks ok from the front, were most of the grafts were placed, but from the side, it is still quite thin compared to my "normal" hair.

Cheers,

IR

I think the frontal hairline has improved quite a bit. We reconstructed the entire hairline from left to right and filled up the temples.

Looking from the front I would say it looks very good. When looking from the side it looks too thin.

The patient has an extremely high density in the middle part, this is also adding to the fact that there is a contrast.

We checked the donor area, which is way above normal density. In fact his density after 1 strip and 2000 FUE is still higher than what most people have before any HT.

There is absolutely no sign of any work visible at the donor area and we can get at least another 3000 or even 4000 grafts.

Thanks for the positive response:)

Hi Guys,

Im new here and have just been reading IR's story. I would just like to know what sort of reputation Prohairclinic usually have. Would they be regarded as a good clinic or not. An how many surgeons do they have.

Anymore examples of things going wrong there, or any examples of things going really well.

Also would they be classed as good as BHR, whom I have heard are very good (you can comment on these guys as well).

Take a look in the doctors photo gallery section as there are plenty of results from both clinics posted in there.

If you are in Europe, contact the clinics and ask them if they have any patients you can meet or at least speak to.

What is your current hairloss situation?
