Reducing minoxidil doses

Hello hello,

I have been using minoxidil 5% foam now twice a day (morning and evening) for about 2 years.

I have also been using fin for this time too.

They have worked wonders to be honest, but I'm curious.

If I was to reduce the minoxidil dose to once daily, at night, do you think I would see any major difference?

Thanks everyone in advance

Reducing the frequency of minoxidil application from twice daily to once daily may result in a slightly reduced efficacy of the medication. Minoxidil is typically recommended for twice-daily use to maintain consistent levels of the active ingredient in the scalp. By using it less frequently, you may experience a slight decrease in its overall effectiveness, potentially leading to a slower rate of hair regrowth or maintenance.

However, it's important to note that the impact of reducing the dosage may vary among individuals. Factors such as the stage of hair loss, individual response to treatment, and genetics can influence the extent of the effect. Some individuals may find that using minoxidil once daily still yields satisfactory results, while others may experience a more noticeable decline in efficacy.

This is very dependent on the person. It all depends on how dependent your hair has become on the minoxidil.

Best to stick with something if it’s working for you however if you have to reduce then I would do it very slowly and taper it. Don’t rush it or you could cause a big shed.

Have you tried oral minoxidil? It seems to work better and is much easier for you to take

Hello, I have not tried the oral min. The foam min has worked wonders, alongside oral fin. But just want the natural hairstyle back
