Review – The Treatment Rooms, London

Hi all; new to the forum here but wanted to leave a review of my recent experience.

I recently went for my one year check-up after having had ~1300 grafts via FUE in October 2021 at the Treatment Rooms. The results have been amazing and worth every penny.

From the initial consultation, I knew this was the place I wanted to use; I'd been to different big name hair transplant provider earlier that day (mentioning no names but Wazza went there!); they forgot my appointment despite confirming it the day before and then tried to palm me off by sitting me down with someone who wasn't a surgeon for an hour. Pretty disappointing. The Treatment Rooms consultation was a world away from that. So personable, knowledgable, and incredible attention to detail.

Email/zoom comms between the consultation, day of procedure and beyond were stellar; replies were prompt and every question I asked was given an answer.

The day of surgery itself, I felt very relaxed. The people there do everything that they can to make you feel at ease. I was feeling uncertain in the morning going in but having done it once now, I'd do it again with no hesitation or worry if needed. The aftercare was great and again, the email comms were swift and put me at ease with any questions I had.

My hair started growing through after about 3-4 months and now a year on, I have a natural looking head of hair and people are amazed when I tell them I've had a transplant.

Prior to the transplant I'd spent a good year or two trying finasteride, minoxidil, nizarol, dermarolling/microneedling and realised I wasn't going to get my old hairline back that way. Some rarer cases seem to get such an outcome but most of the time those non-surgical methods seem like a means of preserving what you have, as opposed to reversing male pattern baldness. I am still using minoxidil at this time.

Dr. Vara, Dr. Fernando, Renata, and the rest of the staff at the treatment rooms are a credit to what they do.

Any questions, let me know.

Do you have any more post op pictures? To by honest I am not sure when I am looking at. Are they all pre op? Is the longer hair 12 months or so post op? They all look quite similar to me apart from hair length.

Hi @MPBsucks1234, hopefully these help, @artvandelay had a receding hairline, level norwood 2/3 which was operated on using 1426 grafts. The pictures posted above are before and afters. The pictures attached here are immediately post op.

Hi Artvandelay. Welcome to the forum.
Everything from your initial consultation and surgery went very well. Those 1400 grafts have made a nice change adding density and lowering slightly. It looks nice and natural.
Are you still using hair loss meds to maintain your hair?
Thanks for sharing your result.

Someone messaged me privately to ask about an update on my hair so I thought I'd make that into an update here in case it might help someone. I'm still really happy with the results. I've attached some pics I took 5 mins ago.

(Disclaimer: I'd say my individual hairs are on the thin side, and I've not washed my hair this morning and the grease defintiely thins mine out a bit! My hair was definitely cleaner in the pics in my first post; I have to wash every day but It's always been like this for me.)

It was 4 years since the transplant on the 1st of October. I've been on topical finasteride & minoxidil for a while now as well, after trying them both separately (and inconsistently!) since the transplant.

Shout out to @The Treatment Rooms Ldn — they're a great bunch of people there. Would still highly recommend them.

Thanks for the update, nice to see someone 4 years on. Hair is looking good. They have been doing some good work at The Treatment Rooms over the years.
