Sad and frustrated over facial hair

Hello everyone. I was happy that I found this portion of the message board because I now know that I have some great people to talk to about how I feel. I must admit that the facial hair is a really bothering symptom to me. I am fortunate because I have light facial hair but it is very heavy. I am 18 and I am going to be starting college this August and I just want to feel normal for once. I do not know if normal is the right word, I guess I want to feel more feminine and have more self esteem. It really bothers me that I have facial hair, it makes me feel less of a woman. But I know in my head, that facial hair does not determine who you are, but I must admit that I have a hard time truly believing that. I look at other women who have facial hair and I honestly think nothing of it, it does not even phase me. I guess it just bothers me, that I mysef have facial hair, and I have a hard time accepting it. I am my own worse critic. I am posting this hoping to find out some success stories...I was going to try electrolysis, but since my hormones are at crazy levels I know I may not get the permanent results...and I am not a good canidate for laser because my hair is blonde. Please, if anyone could help I would appreciate it so much! Thank you everyone, and God Bless you all.;ss;

I'm curious to know if there are other options other than electrolysis and laser for permanent hair removal solution. I imagine you've tried waxing and creams to remove the facial hairs?

Have you been checked for polycystic ovary syndrome a friend of mine has this and she is very hairy, it also causes her a lot of upset.

^ From what I understand, when it comes to PCOS, doesn't it involve 'thick' facial and body hair? I think bingo296 is only concerned about her 'light' facial hair, which is heavy (and I'm not entirely sure what the means. Can't picture it out).

Not too sure*nl, i know that electrolysis is probably the best way to eliminate light coloured hairs as laser needs the hair to be darker so it can destroy them.
