Scalp pigmentation

Hi everyone, more of a reader than a writer on the forums, but it has helped me so wanted to tell my story, and hope it helps others.
I'm Paul 44 and been losing my hair for 3-4 years I decided to do something about it a while ago but only recently pulled the trigger. I had my first micro scalp pigmentation session with Vinci Hair Clinic about 3 weeks ago and really happy with the results.
I know I am going to need more sessions but already it has made a big change to me, my look and how I feel. Happy to answer any questions about my treatment, it took 3 hours to do, very mild discomfort, but nothing that can ´t be tolerated, especially when you see the result for the first time in the mirror.

Hi Paul!

Great to read about your story! Will you add some pictures later you think?

I have read all sites in this forum latets days and something I really miss in the SMP-section are more pictures from patients and not only from the clinics. Gladly pictures with updates after some months.

For example like hair transplant patients. It actually make me a bit worried for the method/technique that there only are pictures from clinics. Is it only me?

Is it only me that find it a bit strange that we never see pictures from patiens regarding SMP? Always from the clinics.

Have a look at hishairclinic forum, plenty of photos and stories over there regarding SMP from actual patients.

Best to meet people in real life who have had SMP. I'm not a fan of SMP as I think tattooing dots on your head is ridiculous. However I have seen 3 SMP patients in real life and 2 of them looked realistic. I could not tell it was SMP from 30cm away. The other one looked awful due to a straight hairline and you could just make out his nw6 hair loss pattern.

Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. But the forum you recommend still is a clinic-site, therefore i mabye think this forum is more uncommitted. Am i wrong?

I have study/followed fue and fut some years without doing any transplant, then i thought SMP those days was a safe, good and fast solution, but realize there still probably is a lot of things to evaluate.

Nothing beats seeing a patient in person. Photos only show what it looks like under the choice of patients/clinics favoured lighting conditions.

What would it look like under bright lighting in a restaurant, daylight and a shopping mall.

I have seen it in person it looks good when done by the right person but if I saw those people who had SMP and had not shaved their head for 12hrs I believe I would know it was SMP. It is a constant maintenance game.
What would your scalp look like if you were shaving it once or twice a day?

(EDIT) The example of 12hrs is a worse case solution estimate based on my own opinion. Every persons hair grows at different speeds. I have read SMP patients accounts that they only need to shave every 48hours. Everyone is different. I also said that I would know it is SMP. Well I have been balding slowly for 25 years, my brain is trained to spot SMP/HTs,Combovers etc because I am reasonably versed in the subject. The general public does not have this knowledge.

By the way, wathcing Euro cup now; Martin Skrtel? SMP? The thought just sporadic hit me and a quick search at google i find him a bit more thin hair in front of head when hair was some mm longer.

Looks good, I agree with Cooman about subtle being best..... a nice light shade too like a real shaved head should look....nothing gives the game away more than a procedure thats too dark imo.
