Your side profiles look to be fading well and actually look more natural like that so it gives a good idea of what things will be like when you rework them and dont have the temples as sharp and defined......it should really suit you imo. Thanks for the updates you seem to be on the right track now which is awesome dude.

Thanks bud.

There will be very very faint side profiles next procedure, positioned where they are now, with no pointy sharpness at all. Laser tech saying real fading will start at 4-6 weeks and I'm on week 2. Then I've another laser session in September. I'm hoping that'll make a big difference as that'll be my third session (1st was with a HIS HAIR Chinese copy machine so that doesn't really count) and I now have a specialist SMP laser tech with different wavelengths to play with.

I've booked SMP rework for early December, but subject to fading. The next SMP will be with a reputable practitioner, and they will build colour over 4 sessions, as my scalp has been through a lot, FUE, botched smp, laser etc. It won't be anywhere near as dark as before and Alivio pigment used. Looking to have sides blended into top like a 'skinfade' look, which only a few practitioners can do as it requires great skill to do that with smp. No Goofy hairline, broken but not receded looking.

Confident about the future. Just want this awful ink off!

Has all the laser and previous SMP sessions effected the FUE at all? Hope you get sorted for christmas.

FUE not affected at all. Once new smp is done, and I've got one of the best doing it, no chain company, the FUE and smp should create texture and a much more natural look.
Still got another laser session in September. Hoping that's my last but if 2 more are needed then so be it. I think going the way things are going, bearing in mind laser tech will be going higher power next session, I'm hoping for a blank canvas for new smp.

Never realised youd had FUE dude how many grafts you get..... Should give you more of a 3d look if done right and make things feel more natural should someone touch your head. Looking forward to seeing the end result we dont see too many FUE SMP combos on the forums.

I had 2100 grafts in front. Still got some hair on top but diffuse thinning.

Guessing its a process and will improve gradually but are you still confined to wearing a hat after your current laser treatments?

Yes. I have to have a hat on all day long due to the type of laser that's been taken to my head. No sun exposure at all. So it sucks. It's very hot outside but the summer is a write off for me.

Thanks dude.... just read your comment about wearing a hat all day....I know how that feels as I've been there myself for years but I feel for you over the last few days as it's been scorching..... I'm so relieved I got my transplant repaired so i no longer have to wear one.

Hope you come out of the other side of this looking great you deserve to dude.

Final laser session complete. To wipe this off, I discovered the hard way that the QUANTA Q PLUS C is the most efficient laser. It literally erased everything in one sitting. So I wasted the other 2 laser sessions with lasers nowhere as good as the QUANTA Q PLUS C. This laser is gold standard in tattoo removal, used by hospitals.

That is fantastic result!!
I was following your story on another forum and seen here positive end of the dramatic story!
I do Rejuvi Tattoo Removal and it work very well for scalp micropigmentation botched work, but only use it on single hair immitations or small parts if someone approach me with "how to fix" job!
Looking forward to see your post after few weeks time when new SMP will be created

You sound a little bit silly.
So you have SMP done, it went wrong, you had to get it lasered off and now you're getting it done again? You realise Paul Clarke worked at Hishair previously, as have another couple of practionioners who are at Brentwood now.
It is a tattoo, it will fade over time, and will lead to a helmet effect whether it goes blue or not. Brentwood clinic will be closed down within 5 years, and a new practice will open up. Because like you, a lot of people are unhappy with their results a few years down the line, so the practitioners just move aroun.

Dont agree at all myself. Brandwood clinic is run by people who left HIS due to their crappy work ethics and constant need to get more and more clients through their doors causing mistakes and sub par work (not from these three I might add) Paul Clarke, Simon and Damon Ashcroft are extremely talented. I've seen work from Damon personally from over 7 yrs ago and it still looks incredibly natural. Fair enough it does fade slightly and will require touch ups but done properly it shouldn't produce a helmet look and I've seen their results first hand and it doesn't. You have to ask yourself why all te best practitioners have left HIS and I guarantee everyone of them would say it's down to their unscrupulous greed and lack of ethics......just my opinion though and I appreciate yours too dude :)

I have had SMP, have you? My original sessions were done by Paul. Can you just explain to me how someone being talented at applying a tattoo stops it fading over time?

I have nothing against certain practitioners, I am sure some are very good at placing dots, and some are less talented.

The issue isn't the practitioners, its that SMP as a product is fundamentally flawed. The pigments will fade, whether that takes 3 months, or 3 years. It will fade. You then go back in, and how do they rectify it? The only thing they can do is apply darker dots again. So you end up with darker dots, on top of lighter dots.

What do you think happens when those darker dots begin to fade after a few months/years? You then need more dots applying, now you have the dreaded helmet effect, because its impossible to apply the dots exactly where the previous dots were.

The only way to prevent a helmet effect occurring after a few years, would be to get the ink lasered off completely between sessions, and begin the process again.

I was young, naive and desperate when I was in my early 20s. I don't want people making the same mistakes I did. The only thing I would say to people is actually meet people in person with SMP, who have had it at least 5 years, and look at their head. The only people SMP looks decent on is people with diffuse thinning but with a somewhat intact hairline, or maybe if you go for a norwood 3 look. Everyone elses head looks ridiculous dense/shiny/fake, when attempting to create norwood 1/2 hairlines.

You sound like you've a resentment towards something or someone. First of all, I don't know who 'Brentwood' are. I DO know Brandwood. I never had SMP with Brandwood but can testify that Paul does great work. Technically SMP is NOT a tattoo when looking at needle depth and type of ink used. But I won't school you on that.

I've known people with 10 year old SMP that have never been called out. Paul and others left HIS HAIR due to extremely poor management by HIS HAIR and malpractice.

I've also had 2100 FUE by Dr Feriduni which survived the laser treatment. So I have smp/FUE combo.

So overall I'm extremely happy with the outcome. It has allowed me to move on. No looking back. No resentments. I wish you the best with your goals and objectives. Keep your chin up.

I don't have resentment towards anything. Nobody made me get SMP. I am aware that, when i was debating whether to get it or not, there wasn't many people around who had lived with it for 5 plus years at the time, and that it would have been nice to get impartial input, whether I would have listened or not, who knows, sometimes we have to make our own mistakes.

I call it a tattoo because that is effectively what it is. You can talk about it being put it at less depth than a conventional tattoo, and how the ink is different, and won't change color etc etc. I have had it a long time, I know the theory and sales pitches around it. At the end of the day, it is ink on your head that will fade/change shape with time.

I think it can look ok if there are hair follicles spread out through the ink, and you shave it every day.... I am against people who have norwood 3 plus etc getting this treatment. Because everyone I have seen in person, looks fake.

That is because people in general are too nice/uncomfortable at the thought of questioning it. How many white guys do you know, with a perfect head of hair, that shave their head every day for years on end? If there was a guy in my office who had SMP, I would know something wasn't normal. Would I question him about it? No.

I won't post again in this thread. It's up to people to make their mind up on whether it will work for them.

@Bustamove : your hair in those new pictures looks great mate! The only thing I would think is “why doesn’t he grow his hair?” As it looks natural to me.
