starting repair work

hi all

been just over five weeks since my first repair op,think it was 584 beard fue into scar, steve can confirm numbers,

i have put some pics up in my gallery and one on this post if it comes out, bigmac feel free to put recent ones up tor all to view, thanks.

i will put some more recent pics up in a few days, overall things went very well ,work done on mon met steve for lunch on the wed ,(owe you lunch)and flew home that eve, even when i met steve on the wed he remarked how well i was healing,i did however get an infection in around my chin, after about a week,i got a coarse of antibiotics for 5 days and was sort of visible gone but not totally cleared up,and went on a ten day coarse a few days later, looked a bit nasty to be honest, puss filled spots only around the chin, only 2 days left on them now and looking pretty cleared up now just hope it stays away ,i do still occassionally get the odd spot [acne]seem to have quite oily skin, which steve said could have been a factor.

when i got home on the wed eve the missus could not visible see any marks on my face unless you look very close cream helped hide it anyway,as far as white dots or marks non my face is ,virtually flawless, what i can see is a few tiny marks still under a very bright light in mirror which are fadeing by the day,so for that i am very very pleased,i was out and about after a few days anyway ,and no one said a word.
you would not even see the marks on a camera pic, still using aloe vera on it so looking pretty good there, will put up a few more pics in a few days after a clean shave, just trying to let infection totally clear up.

hi all, not posted in a long time,,please bear with me the pic i just put up is from over a year ago sept 11,,i was under the name of sram changed to campag, just cause herself was following was following my posts,,not that she does not know but just did not want her reading everything about it

anyway have had 2 more ops since then,,1 in march of this year another last week 0n 6 nov, march to try soften up hairline and last week more work done on scar,,why did i not keep up to date with posts,,no particular reason,,have two kids keep me busy ,,but feel i should have,,because this forum kick started me into taking the jump, others here have and are going similar circumstances and were an inspiration to me,and thanks for that,,have been reading posts on and off,,and one that topcat had up about repair patients not keepin up with posts was part of the reason,i know you were in bhr last week also and your making smashing progress .

so apologies to all for not keepin up,,im not to good a puttin up pics but been tryin more last few days..gonna try put some more to nite,,and give a little info on them

Nice to hear you are making progress, just a matter of time before you get to where you want to be.

Always good to update as many depend on a consistent flow of information regardless of where it is coming from the more information the better.

good growth to you, and good luck, what happened in your case, how many surgies did you have , how many grafts, before you started on your repair journey.

Hi topcat,

im on the right track anyway,as you have often said take it slow, not to jump and look for the quick fix, theres alot of repair patients on here, yourself bullitnut, ejj, sparky, mars, zion,to name a few who have all turned things around, and great to see,and im sure more out there who have yet to start.

sadbuttrue.i think i had 6 previous strip surgeries all with same doc,as for graft no i dont honestly know,im from ireland all the surgeries were done here,i fell for the docs sales and was, a so and so to do what he did,i should have stopped after one surgery, and he to some point kept promising..dont think he is in ireland anymore,he has butchered quite a few

im pullin for ya, there must be countless guys suffering in silence ,having had bad surgies in the past, now you have the internet and you can research and better your odds having a good result.guys in the 80s and early 90s diddnt have that option.
