Hello all,
I am re-posting this topic as I had not received a reply in another thread.
first and foremost I was want to say a big hello to all here;)

I am a 28 year old male and have started to recede at the front (both sides) for the past 2 years or so. I have spent the last 3 weeks or so vigourously scouring the net for information. To say that I suffer from information overload would be a massive understatement! Also, due to a head trauma I suffered 8 months ago from a motorcycle accident, it takes an absolute eternity for me to digest and remember information '''h;h;;h

Anyway, from what I gather so far, it would be best for me to try a course of rogaine minoxidil (to enocurage new growth and preserver what's there) and also a course of propecia 0.5 mg? These used in conjunction offer the best results? Rogaine is available here in my local boots store, but do I need a doctor's prescription for propecia?

Thank you all in advance.

Kind regards
Gaz

You are better off buying your Rogaine online as it is far cheaper, Amazon sell it.

Propecia needs to be presribed, you can try your own GP as this is the cheapest option, otherwise some of the HT doctors on here can presribe it, contact a few and see what they say.

There are online outlets who sell it, hopefully some members who purchase online will post where they purchase it from.

Hi Bigmac,
thank you for the advice. Yes I just noticed that amazon sell it for far cheaper than boots who are asking £209 for 12 months supply. I have made an appointment to see my doctor today in regards to propecia. I can't see how they can refuse however as I'm starting to thin pretty drastically!

Thanks once more

Boots are just a commercial outlet making money, if your doctor does not know too much about hairloss direct him here, hopefully he will prescribe it to you.

If your Doc won't prescribe you Propecia then you can get it online.

I get my Fincar (generic proscar) from United Pharmacies. Cheap, genuine products and great service.
