topcat is giving great advice, research is key and take your time, don't let emotions rush you in making a decision before your ready, there is several top docs out there that put out good results time and time again, fue and strip,check out these clinics .its a start and they do great work, hasson and wong ,dr rahal, SMG, dr,lorenzo, dr, gabel,dr,bisagina,not sure how to spell his name,*nl, research those guys as a start and look at other docs as well, talking to patients is geat tool for research, good luck in your journey

Thanks guys for the invaluable advice, its so helpful. Bm I have been on Propecia for two years with no visible signs of regrowth.

I have been surfing the net the last 12 months, I won't rush into anything guys, when I make my choice I will let you all know.

Hairhope I think too many young guys just take this procedure too lightly. You really need to figure out who is the best doctor for you regardless of where he is located and how much recovery time is involved otherwise one should really not have a procedure in my opinion. You have been given the greatest opportunity don €™t let these words come back to haunt you.

Many comparisons have been made but something I like is this. If I were to have an apple placed on my head and required to choose someone dead or alive to shoot that apple off my head I would choose William Tell knowing he is the person with the most skill to do the job using only the finest crossbow. Now if I was young I might have thought it didn €™t matter but now I know better.

When I was young the guy with the cannon convinced that a cannonball would certainly work. It did but he left some of the other details out.

Hey guys,

I've been told I will need somewhere in the region of 3000 grafts to achieve my goals, as I've a high forehead a slightly more mature hairline has been advised to preserve my donor supply, this ofcourse may be lowered in the future if desired and donor permitting.

I'll now take my time contemplating my choices, thankyou all for the good advice, I really appreciate you guys taking time out to reply.

Dear Hairhope,
When taking pictures, I would suggest the following 3 additional things
1. The front and profile pictures should include the eyebrows. That gives perspective to the doctor/viewer.
2. Mark the hairline on the picture. Graft estimates can vary widely depending on the extent of hairline lowering you wish to go for.
3. Take some pictures with a measuring tape as explained at the following link

People sometimes forget that there is a difference in size of the head. 2 persons may be classified as Norwood 3 level of hairloss but have different sq cms of bald scalp.

After giving birth, my hair began to thin. I searched on a great many forums, I read numerous comments before I made my decision. My choice fell on PHAEYDE Clinic. In the back they cut my hair off a 15 cm area, which I could cover with my hair two weeks after the procedure, the kerchief, the scarf were also my good friends during these days. The procedure lasted from 8 am till 7 pm, which could have progressed faster if I had gotten my hair cut in the front as well. In this way the transplantation was performed into among long hair. To the front portion and middle of my scalp 3,000 pieces of hair were transplanted. Theoretically, it could have been even more, but for that further areas would have had to be cut, and I said let €™s take a look at this first. I think I will not need additional procedures, since the density is sufficient for me, I like its firmness.
