Dear readers,
I have come across some pretty distressing cases being performed elsewhere.

I will post pictures of 1 such case wishing for a hair transplant reversal.
Please share your thoughts.
Regards,
Dr A

Was this patient FUE or FUT? In the first image, it looks as though he has the signs of a strip scar. Punching out the incorrectly placed grafts, especially towards the temple corners, any multi grafts to be removed, possibly making his whole hairline higher.

His grafts were extracted using the fue method.
I can no longer call it fue because even though they are taking it out by punches, they are flouting all the norms.
Extracting outside the safe donor area, depleting the donor area with little to show in the recipient except nice immediate post op pictures.

Will you call that fue?

The video shows how we extract some difficult grafts from the forehead/hairline using the FUSE technique and the expanding needle concept.

Thanks for adding the video showing how these badly placed grafts are removed.
When you say flouting the norms by extracting outside the safer donor area. This is a common practice now. The traditional safe area has been expanded to obtain higher numbers. Providing the patient does not progress further with their hair loss this could be fine but if they do, then those grafts could possibly die. Relying on the meds to maintain a larger donor extraction site could backfire for the patient somewhere in the future.
