Transplant Help

Hi All,
I am just browsing the idea of a transplant.Just about to start propecia & rogaine again however just playing ahead in case a transplant is needed.
However after hours of researching and looking around its clear (to me anyway) its a bit of minefield looking for and choosing a good place to have a transplant done.
Just wondering if there was any posts that could recommend a good surgery to go to and more importantly the types of clinic's to avoid.
I have seen some that have fantastic results however the price is just to high end (seems to cater for the high end range clients).
Would just be good to get some info feedback from anyone who has been here as im sure there are loads others in boat as me and getting very overwhelmed with all the info out there.
Is turkey worth going to? Is it worth going abroad? How much roughley price should you expect to pay (we will say per graft as everyone will be different).
I respect we shouldn't just go for the cheapest option but im looking to get best value and best quality transplant (should I need it).
I just don't know where and how to start looking!

Travelling is always an option if you feel that clinic is the one for you. There are Turkish clinics posting on here and patient stories too. Maybe watch Dr Karadeniz's videos he has posted below this topic to help in your research.
Price is important unless you're mega rich, cheaper or more expensive doesn't necessarily mean good or bad. Some clinics have lower overheads so charge less.
You should consult with a few clinics to help in your decision making. Look at their results, see who you like and send off some pictures.

I think I will just take my time looking through and picking the ones that suit best instead of jumping straight in.

I would give it at least 6 months to see how the Propecia and Rogaine work for you. You may find that you will go through an initial shed when first using these products which will most likely make you feel anxious but you do need to continue with them at least 6 months to see any real effect.

It is easy to get overwhelmed when looking at clinics as there is such contrasting opinions, prices and quality of work. I started to look locally first to have some consultations in person with a Doctor that I could meet to assess my scalp and hair. Taking a range of good quality photos is important from all angles so you can do some online consultations. Price is a consideration but it should not be the most important factor this is something that is very important to get right there are many patients that choose the cheapest or easiest option and are now looking for repair surgery.

Consult with a handful of clinics that you are considering and most likely you will be down to only a few clinics soon after that process and then price, location and going with a gut feeling can be part of your decision making process.

Thanks for getting back to me and for your useful info.
Thats great I will give the finestride and rogaine a 6 month go to see how I get on.
I respect that cheapest won't always be the best with regards to a transplant, I am starting to get an idea of which places to avoid currently. I have found one or two which look promising so I will keep them in mind. They aren't the cheapest nor the most expensive but seem affordable to me as well as having good results judging by the pictures.
With regards to the shredding, is it visible shredding? Whilst taking rogaine I feel like I lose the same amount of hair as before however I appear to have lost a lot more than I thought by looking in mirror... so im hoping this is just down to shredding.

Hi Alex,

If you do go through a shed then you will notice it when you wash or comb your hair or on your pillow. It can be a good sign that the medication is going to work if shedding does take place buy many people get worried and quit.
