Easiest and quickest route for you is to fly direct from Newcastle, then catch a train from the airport to Antwerp, they run about 4 per hour, then a taxi for the short route to the clinic.
When are you planning on going?
Congrats on your decision, you'll be excited now.

The train service in Belgium is very reliable, easy access from Brussels to Antwerp.

Hi Bm and Chaps
Frontal about 1/4 way back, they reckon 2,000 to 2,500 approx
I was hoping to attend 7 and 8 th July but just been informed by passport office in Durham my appointment is now 9th July for the one day service passport renewal :-(
So I am waiting on the next available date.

I have looked on the BMI regional site and the flights from newcastle are 2 a day I believe at about £350-400 return which is great .
Yes Bri I am really excited been weighing this up a long time now , not looking froward to the 1mm shave in donor area or the post op but hey hoo its either get on with it or just put up with it ;-)

Hi Bm and Chaps
Presently sat in my hotel watching the rain with a swollen head ha . Flying home tomorrow morning
On arrival at the clinic they reassessed and thought I needed 3,000 grafts

One of my fears has always been a totally shaven head. Agreed on the donor and implant area getting shaved , no worries me thinks............upon sitting in the chair in the operating room chair with a milli second it was apparent Bart had not passed the message on as a runway strip was speedily cut out of my hair

Lots of apologies from Bart and staff which didnt go anywhere to stopping the white shrek looking back at me in miror so clearly it all had to come off

I ended up with 2,500 grafts which gives me a bit to play with later if needed and I am now looking at a refund for 500 grafts not taken, reckon they achieved 40 hair sq cm.
Other than the shave incident so far its all gone smoothly , other than the rain which means taxis to and throw.

Really pleasant and helpful staff that I cant fault them at all.

Let the waiting game commence oh and hiding from the general public for a month. I only told my girlfriend the night before was due to fly out
