Hello everybody.

First of all, I have been visiting this site quite frequently and find it so incredbly helpful. Both informationally and emotionally. Thank you to everyone who posts here.

So I am very strongly considering making a HT appointment this week after years of consideration. I feel like I have decided on a doctor for me who I am very comfortable with. Unfortunately, the skepticism in me is causing to me to sniff out every last trail of possible information I can. I consulted with this doctor in person, he has great reviews and seems to do very good work. Which is why his extremely high price point is not a negative factor.

But, I can not find a stitch of information on this forum or any other related forums. Why is this? I actually thought i may have found something on him on the forum, but he can not be spoken of or mentioned by name I believe. I can not understand this. I should also mention I reside in the states. I suppose I dont want to say which state just in case i should be talking about this on the forums. Also, anyone can feel free to pm me. Thank you everybody.

Hey dude welcome to the forum, Just because a doctor doesn't frequent the forums much it doesn't automatically mean anything bad. The important thing is you have researched and are happy and comfortable with your chosen doctor. Out of curiosity and without wanting to put you off him, if you haven't seen anything on line how do you know he has great reviews?
best wishes BN;)

Thank you for replying bullitnut. Well he does have mulitple reviews on line, but they are the kind of reviews where any person can create an account and post a positive review. Not such as this site. That's where I am stuck. Also, after intense research on these forums, It seems to me that this doctor is not allowed to be named. Which is something I dont understand.

That's a good point, BN! Is there a reason why you're keeping mum on who you may go with?

Yes. The reason is because after searching the forums, it seems to me like this doctor is not allowed to be mentioned by name. Which I dont understand, and am trying to figure out.

You know what, excuse me, you are right. On a different popular hair loss forum, there is discussion of a certain doctor who can not be named. He is in my area so I feel like it could be him.

By the way BN, the procedure would be done using the Artas, which you just posted about.

It's true, you can mention any doctors on here, no restrictions that I'm aware of. On some forums, I think that there were legal issues with certain physicians with defamation or something to that affect years ago so now there are key words that have to get past the filters before the posts are released.

As there aren't any restrictions to who you mention on here and there aren't that many examples of the ARTAS at work yet it would be awesome if you documented your journey with xxxxxx doctor dude.

You can ask about any doctor on here. Hopefully someone on the forum will have some feedback for you. What is your Hairloss situation and what have you been offered as a solution, ie number of grafts/meds.

Sounds like you are talking about Dr Cole OP.
EDIT: on reflection don't think Dr Cole would use ARTAS, the only surgeons I am aware of who can't be mentioned on the other site are doctors Bolton, Cole and Woods.

Some doctors are not welcome on some forums because they sued the forum for allowing patients to post a bad result and the forum wouldn't take it down. So of course that is going to create some bad blood. The problem with this is that doctors that sue forums also have been known to sue their patients. I know and have personally read those letters.
Here €™s the deal on how it works. If you end up getting a bad result as long as you don €™t open your mouth too much then everything will be okay. Kind of like keep your mouth shut and nobody gets hurt €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.you see.

You also have some doctors not allowed on some forums as a few forums were trying to cut up the market about 10 years ago so. Kind of like the Bonanno €™s and the Gambino €™s so obviously if you are affiliated with the Gambino €™s mixing with the Bonanno €™s is going to be problem €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..depending. Of course not all doctors play this game and that game seems to be coming to close anyway but one can see some of the remains.

Could this doctor you speak of have fantastic skills €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦it €™s possible. Could have been an example of the Gambinos bad mouthing one of the Bonanno boys.
