The Turkish cosmetic surgery industry is a juggernaut, responsible for 20% of the world's hair transplant surgeries (guestimate) so it would take a lot to bring it down but I do know that with regards to hair restoration specifically it is indeed taking a hit. Part of this deduction comes from speaking with my contacts in Turkey but also with my contacts in Europe as more and more patients are citing the recent unrest as being a reason for staying in Europe (and the UK).
And it isn't over yet. There will undoubtedly be more attacks but there are also questions that remain regarding the current government. President Erdogan is hard core and with the crackdown on journalism and rooting out the supporters (supposed) of the failed coup so I think the potential for more problems is very high. I wrote about this on my blog in more detail if you want to check it out.
