Hello everyone,
I`d like to share my Hair Transplant experience with the forum members.
My hairline started receding soon after my 21st birthday and by the time I was 30, I started seeking hair loss treatments including various shampoos, topical minoxidil, and oral finasteride which seemed to have stopped the hair loss but I had no noticeable regrowth. For the next 10 years or so I had been contemplating hair transplant surgery but never got round to it.
When I had a break before starting my job as a consultant plastic surgeon, I jumped at the opportunity knowing there won't be a better time to get a hair transplant. When it came to choosing a hair transplant surgeon, Dr Edward Ball was the obvious choice. I had worked with him before and I knew I could trust him to do a good job. We both agreed that FUE was the best option for me and I had over 2000 grafts packed in to restore my hair line.
I knew it was going to be a long procedure but I managed to sleep through most of it. Looking after the grafts in the first couple of weeks after the procedure was probably the most challenging bit but it was totally worth it. I am now 15 months post-op and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
Dr Ball had done an excellent job and no one could tell I had a hair transplant unless I told them. Friends who didn't know just thought I somehow looked younger. I have now become so used to my newly restored hairline that I cringe whenever I look at my old photos and I wish I had done it sooner!
I would not hesitate to recommend Edward to any of my patients, friends or family who may wish to consider hair transplant surgery.
Below are a before an after picture showing the difference.
