Hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including:

  • Genetics: The most common cause of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, also known as male or female pattern baldness, which is hereditary.
  • Hormonal Changes: Hormonal imbalances, such as those caused by pregnancy, menopause, or thyroid problems, can lead to hair loss.
  • Medical Conditions: Certain medical conditions, like alopecia areata, scalp infections, and autoimmune disorders, can cause hair loss.
  • Medications: Some medications, including those for cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, and high blood pressure, can cause hair loss as a side effect.
  • Nutritional Deficiencies: Lack of essential nutrients like iron, vitamin D, and protein can contribute to hair loss.
  • Stress: Physical or emotional stress can trigger a type of hair loss called telogen effluvium, where hair temporarily falls out.
  • Hairstyling Practices: Frequent use of harsh chemicals, tight hairstyles, and heat styling tools can damage hair and lead to hair loss.

It is connected with maturing, heredity, and changes in the chemical testosterone. Acquired, or design hair loss, influences a lot a bigger number of men than ladies. Male example hair loss can happen whenever after pubescence. Around 80% of men give indications of male example hairlessness by age 70 years.

2nd and 5th bullet points are applicable to me. I had thyroid issues and low iron. The causes vary from person to person. I always think its best to get a comprehensive bloodworks done first to try and identify the underlying cause.
