Hello everyone

Im 27 years old and i had hairloss since early 20s. Today my crown is very thin and i just feel like all the hair on the top and front is nofthing, you can see right through to my skin. I dont want to talk about how i feel about it let me just cut to the chase.

I've contacted several clinics and alot of different answers soo i dont really know what to do.
1. BHR clinic said it was to much to cover and my density in donor area was too low and i was too young.
2. Fuegenix only does 2600 grafts in 1 session but the makes me wonder if thats enough. It is quite expensive so going twice.. yea i dont have that money.
3. Dr. Mwamba said we should have a video conversation about it but sounded like it was possible from the assistant.

Dont get me wrong i want quality and doctors i can trust and feel save with.

So now im asking you and your experiences.
What do you think is possible for me?
Should i wait?
Which doctors and clinics do you recommend?
Do some of you have the same hair loss experience as me?
What are my chances to get good hair agian?

My hope is to make all the hair on the top better looking!

Best regards
Anton

Hi Anton.

You have lost quite a bit of hair and your donor looks thin. If I were in your situation right now I`d be researching hair loss meds. With you being young you have a decent chance of improving your hair. I have seen some amazing transformations. People that have improved so much, they no longer need a hair transplant.
Meds do have possible sides, they are a small percentage of users. I’d be looking at oral minoxidil and either oral or topical Finasteride.

Thanks alot! I will look for meds.

Still feel kinda sad if HT is impossible for me.. you know kinda looked forward taking the step.

I’m only going on your pictures. Having your donor checked in person would establish how strong it is. Hair fibres or other types of concealer such as DermMatch could help you hide the thinning areas until you see how you respond to meds if you decide to try them.
You don’t want to get a hair transplant and have your hair loss to continue. Shaving or buzzing is always an option too.

Definitely worth getting on finasteride and minoxidil for a year and then have some in person consultations. By that time with you’ll be in a better position, the HT will be more feasible and you’ll need less grafts with any luck

For 27 the loss is aggressive and the safe zone very small. The crown will drop and is already thinning and really you should as said here look for getting on medication and see how goes. We don't say no as we are too busy, we say it as truly we do not see it in the best interest of the patient and you have also combined with a young age and advanced loss, significant retrograde alopecia that is also obvious. I know this is not probably welcome advice but we need to call it as we see it and be above all ethical and not just look for the sale. If any clinic is happy to perform then make sure to have your donor checked, safe area measurements, miniaturisation, donor density and hair groupings and see how much could be harvested and will it meet your goals? I am 54 so know a thing or two about how progressive hair loss is and had a lot of hair at 31 and NW6 by 37.

Sincerely all the best.
