When can I train hard in the gym after FUE?

8 days ago from my FUE in BHR, were 2500 FUE and goes all like it should go these days, the scabs begin to fall. I'm pretty athletic, Dr. Bisanga told me to wait two weeks to train in the gym with weights, but now I'm home and bored and I get to see forums I read that some say it's best to wait one month, another 2 months, other people say 7 days, I made a mess, I love the sport and weights for a living but my priority is that FUE surgery follow correctly. How long do I have to wait to lift weights? To say that I like to train hard, deadlifts, squats, bench press ... A greeting.

2 Weeks just like Dr Bisanga said, Steve will confirm this.

You will probably be stronger after 2 weeks off.

I train because I like and also as a therapy to relax after work. When do you return to the gym I can begin to give everything or progressively?

Hi Col

As sparky said, 2 weeks rest for FUE, not so for Strip but for FUE is fine.

I've trained most of my life with weights, kick and thai boxing totalling 6 times a week and was always back at 14 days but took a week or so to then get back into my routine.

It is hard not training for sure but hang in there and soon you will be back.

Thanks, again at 14 days to lift weights. I've seen other forums people saying to wait up to two months to re-train for an operation FUE and I see was absurd, of course you have to be careful not hide indoors but helplessly.

I'd wait a really long time for fut, but only waited 2 weeks for fue, hit the weights light the first week then went back to normal.

Benching, deadlifting and squatting require the valsalva maneuver to be applied when performed correctly. This greatly increases blood pressure for a few seconds so it €™s probably not a good idea. Personally I did a lot of walking after the procedure 5-10 miles.

Already begun with answers that say the opposite, what happens if blood pressure increase after 14 days? What then elite athletes who have surgery and can not stop more than 14 days? How long the doctor himself tells me that 14 days without lifting weights? Fundamentases I like your answer because you do not say specific time of inactivity or no objective. It would be nice to reach a clear reapuesta for athletes it really clear after FUE intervention.

why don ¨t you follow what you were told by the Doc or clinic, you paid them the money so should trust, but you ask total strangers who dont know you from adam. the clinic is responsible for you i think

I'm all for the patient sometimes making their own decisions as long as they accept full responsibility if something goes wrong when they don't follow a clinics advice to the letter.

I applied benzoyl peroxide to the few ingrown hairs I had from my beard extractions. Nobody told me to do that and I just did it on my own and felt comfortable that no damage to the skin would result. I posted exactly what I did and if something went wrong well hey I could live with that as it was my decision. It worked well for me and the ingrown hairs dried up very quickly and their was no damage to the skin. Should someone else do the same, that's up to them just take responsibility for the action.

Always good to post your ideas online and how they turn out as others can learn.

In my experience across several clinics... 1 week is fine. If you are going hardcore like Topcats workouts... maybe wait 2 weeks... lol

The point is... there is no deep surgical excision of tissue that requires deep scar formation and surface healing that could take months to be complete. In that situation, a workout too early could cause problems.

So again in my experience and is the policy of our post op care... nothing for one week... then get on with your life... unless you are Mr. Olympian (topcat) ::}{:

10 days to 2 weeks worked fine for me post FUE.

I waited about 10 days after fue but I noticed my donor area at back was sensitive and a bit sore when pushed against the bench so limited how heavy I pushed. Putting a towel down helped a bit.

I have experienced the description below over the years depending on my bodyweight and the loads I was lifting. The heavier the load the greater the pressures involved and the more likely the following were to occur. Probably not a good idea when you are trying to have that same area heal as quickly as possible but it comes down to personal responsibility.

Types of broken blood vessels in your face include bruises, petechiae, telangiectasias and subconjunctival hemorrhage. Your skin, muscles and bones can suffer bruising. Sometimes called a contusion, ecchymoses or hematoma, bruising occurs when blood vessels under the skin on your face rupture, allowing blood to pool in the surrounding tissue. Petechiae and telangectiasis are small, individual red or purple dots just under the surface of your facial skin. Petechiae often appear in clusters and resemble a rash. Telangectasias may appear as an individual spot or a network of dilated blood vessels. Subconjunctival hemorrhage occurs when blood vessels burst under the conjunctiva of your eye . Subconjunctival hemorrhages can look like tiny red dots or large, bloody areas in the whites of your eye.

Dude... You are getting all technical on us. Kudos... The petechiae occurs in many instances... Severe coughing and a severe valsalva as you mentioned before can cause this break in vessels.

Getting back to healing times, I can confirm one thing that no one has mentioned here... the punch size. The larger the punch, the longer the healing time and this is obviously common sense. Now in my opinion, any punch used that is less than 1.0mm usually can adhere to the common post op times lited here... it looks like 7 to 10 days minimum. However there are some clinics that still use punches that exceed 1.1mm. A few clinics admit this because they are honest but there are a few that completely hide their punch size even upon asking. Anyway the larger punch size sessions need to use a slightly bit more caution.

2 weeks is fine for FUE treatments, the wounds have healed completely.
Maybe the redness will flare up somewhat after heavy excercise, but that is normal.

Yeah i started easy with just Cardio and mainly light weights for the first week or so. You dont want to overload your immune system and allow it to concentrate on the Op healing as much as possible. Loads of rest too.
