Aspirin helps blood circulate better. Blood flow is crucial for graft survival. Do you think taking aspirin or baby aspirin ed for a few weeks post op help the grafts take?

I don't think it would, maybe ask your doctor for an opinion.

Commanderfink I read something just recently as I was researching the fitness industry. On a side note it was interesting to read the history of Arthur Jones inventor of the Nautilus line of fitness equipment and his war with other equipment manufacturers. What they did to get the public to believe and how it enriched them. The similarities between what they were doing and what we see with robotic fue is uncanny. The fact is you would be infinitely better off lifting a big rock off the ground than using one of those fitness machines but the marketing really works.

The was a small blurb I read in that book on how some bodybuilders would drink wine just before going on stage as it would greatly increase vascularity. My guess is that in definitely had to do with the resveratrol which is very high in fruits like blueberries and a known vasodialator. You can also have greater vasodialation by increasing the amount of the amino acid arginine in your diet with foods like almonds.

I seem to have a greater degree of vascularity in my own body and I believe this vasodialation is a direct effect of consuming larger amount of foods like blueberries than most. Therefore I would suggest the food and not aspirin but just my own opinion and experience I €™m not a doctor. Not showing off but I believe pictures are important as I €™m more of a show me before I believe you type of person. Here is a picture of my forearm just to give you an idea as many ask me what €™s up with all the veins but if you are looking for better blood flow I think it matters.

Another food that has an amazing almost instantaneous effect is watermelon. Research it €™s effect by way of citrulline/ arginine. The only downside is that is not the ideal food due to the amount of fruit sugar and the rise in insulin levels. But still much better than aspirin in my opinion.

Aspirin reduces platelet aggregation. In other words... it makes you not clot so much... yes a form of a blood thinner. It probably will have no effects of a transplant except that of one that was just completed. Do not take aspirin before, during, or just after a hair transplant.

Commanderfink those foods are part of my regular diet except for the watermelon as it €™s just too much sugar for me but I can attest to the effects because my diet doesn €™t very much so when I do have it on occasion it €™s effects are very noticeable. I don €™t think there is any specific quantity you should consume whatever you feel comfortable with eating. I normally go with frozen blueberries as that is the only way they are available year round.

Outside of that I do consume more than an average amount of cholesterol and saturated fat. If one does enough research they will understand why but to each their own. Raw cholesterol in the way of raw egg is great for wound healing but of course most have been conditioned to fear this so do what you feel is right.

I do not believe you will find an medical professional that would advise you to do any of this so it does then come down to personal responsibility. I tend to go with advice from those that are actually following their own and have something to show for it.

Commanderfink I read this article that was written by Mercola and I thought this paragraph you might find interesting. Although it's not advisable for you to sit in the sun after your procedure it is still good information to know.

You can never have too much information ;)

Why Care About Nitric Oxide?

The researchers found that sunlight triggers your skin €™s production of nitric oxide. Why is this significant? Because nitric oxide is crucial for maintaining healthy blood pressure, helps prevent atherosclerosis, and plays a role in modulating immune system function.

Your skin contains large stores of nitrite and nitrate, but only the nitrite is biologically active. Sunlight appears to prompt conversion of nitrate to nitrite and nitric oxide (NO). Please don't confuse nitric oxide (NO) with nitrous oxide (N2O), or "laughing gas," the anesthetic gas used by dentists. Nitric oxide is such an important compound that it was dubbed €œMolecule of the Year € by Science magazine in 1992, followed by the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine for its discovery as a signaling molecule in the cardiovascular system. Your blood vessels require the amino acid L-arginine for the synthesis of nitric oxide, since L-arginine is its precursor in your body.

By helping to regulate your blood pressure, nitric oxide enhances blood flow. Nitric oxide signals the smooth muscle cells in your blood vessels to relax so that your vessels dilate and your blood flows more freely, which helps your arteries stay free of plaque. When you have inadequate nitric oxide, your risk for coronary artery disease increases.

If your blood is flowing freely, then nearly every physiological process will function better. If your blood is sluggish, then important cells and nutrients can't reach the areas that need them. It's like getting the tow truck to the scene of the accident €¦ no tow truck means no repairs.

Not only is nitric oxide important in regulating blood pressure, it also functions as a signaling molecule in your brain and immune system. Besides sitting in the sun, you can increase your nitric oxide levels with a few natural supplements and techniques:

Calcium and magnesium rich foods and supplements, and vitamins C and E
Olive extract
Bitter melon
Electrical acupuncture
Taking a warm bath, or by breathing in and out through one nostril (close off the other nostril and your mouth)
