Looking great at 6 months.
Your barber asking if you had a Hair Transplant at 5 months just goes to show the quality and naturalness of the work.
I`ve not heard of jojoba oil before, good to hear it worked. I`ll read up on it.
Being in isolation with no barbers open is affecting everyone. I wouldn`t clipper your hair, just let it grow, then post some pictures with your Ozzy Osbourne hair.
Thanks for the update.
All the best and stay safe.

Brilliant, definitely thickening up! It would be great if you maybe start adding pictures of the hairline exposed to see the naturalness of the work. A hair clip can be used or even just holding the hair back with your hands may do the trick as it is starting to get quite long now.

Bloody hell that's some improvement there Cairncicus. Followed this thread from the beginning and it's been very informative and very honest throughout. The dreadful feelings that accompany losing your hair are obviously our own but how does your partner feel about your new hair? Guessing she's just happy your happier but does she like it?

Yea she's happy I'm happy.. she does get bored if I go on about it though!

She had Laser hair removal so she understands the benefits of getting something like this done for self confidence - obv she was removing hair and I was adding..!

Hi guys - I hope you're all coping!

here's my 7 month pics. Girlfriend is back on hair cutting duties (for obv reasons) - she gave me a short back and sides yesterday - following the isolation haircut guide from Meghan Markle's hairdresser.. worked ok!

I think you'll see it's looking pretty banging now. Very pleased

The only slight fly in the ointment (and it's a pretty minor fly) is a bit of crustiness in the hairline which has developed over this month. I've been trying Jojoba oil which didn't do too much - but just switched to coconut oil which is improving things. Again, in the spirit of being totally unbiased - you can see the hairline crustiness in the closer up photo of my hair scraped back.

Other than that I'd be genuinely happy if there was no more regrowth now at 7 months - the hair is thick and looks great in the flesh. Imagine what it will look like in a year!

If I didn't say it before - I'm 100% happy to recommend Lup, Scott and Medikemos. I can spot the Doc's work a mile off now on other people's pictures. A world class surgeon!

It`s looking really good at 7 months, there`ll be more maturing to come as well. The crustiness will most likely be just a skin flare up. Have you been scratching the area where the crustiness is?
Your haircut looks decent, well done to your girlfriend.

I actually scratched it for the first time this eve.. I'll leave it well alone though!

And cheers

Looking really good, and plenty of maturing yet to come. I'd personally like to thank you for the time you are putting in to provide these updates as it is proving invaluable to the community. The pictures are great, both in terms of angles and lighting and I'm excited every month to see your progress. The crustiness will resolve and coconut oil will help with that and is the best option being free from preservatives, colourants or fragrances which can cause more irritation.

No worries Scott - I've watched my hair gradually fall out over the last 20 years, so I was always going to absolutely document it magically coming back!!! I hope it's useful for people!

I watched a vid from Hairliciously where he suggested applying the coconut oil, waiting 20 minutes, then combing it through and washing it out with water.. is that good advice? or you reckon applying it in the evening then leaving it in overnight?

I'd personally leave it to absorb overnight. You can always wash it out then in the morning if the greasiness is annoying you.

Hello all - hope you're all coping with this brave new world we're in!

8 month update!

All good

The flakiness has sorted itself out - a mixture of coconut oil before bed and putting sunscreen over the recip area when out in the sun!

My girlf has graduated from the clippers to cutting the whole head of hair using (fairly blunt!) kitchen scissors! but as far as COVID cuts go.. not to bad!

Pleased to say only 2 people have called me out on the HT - everyone else who I've seen seems to ask me if I've had a hair cut..!

It`s looking very good at 8 months. Your partner does a good job cutting your hair and nice to hear only a couple of people have mentioned hair transplant to you. With Hair transplants being in the spotlight now, they probably just guessing you had one after seeing the increased amount of hair.

It's that time again......
Wow, I genuinely look forward to your updates every month now. The increase in thickness this month is plain to see and is obviously helped by the length. I'm greedy but it would be great to see pictures of your hair damp/wet to really highlight the refinement and naturalness of the hairline. I agree with Bigmac, the only reason people have pulled you up on a HT is because you have an insane amount of hair!!! Congrats and still plenty more improvement to come.

Ello all

Here's my 9 month post op photos

I had my first proper haircut from a barber in 3 odd months yesterday which was ace. A pretty strange new experience to all those that have ventured out to a barber since lock down!

As you can see hair is looking all good. I think I'm at the stage now where I can grow it longer with out it looking a little weird - previously my recip hair was a bit wirey... so expect a bigger quiff next month!

Hope you're all good
