Thanks me too I will update you in due course but on a final note I was wondering if I could pick your brain on something else I am a regular smoker and trying my best to stop and is not easy does that play a part in potential hair growth as well as causing hair to thin or loss in the process?

Many doctors ask people to stop smoking before a hair transplant and not to resume straight away afterward.
Smoking causes blood vessels to constrict and harden. This in turn restricts blood flow which may result in your hair not getting the blood supply, nutrients and oxygen they need to stay healthy.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Just for the record like Bigmac I've also been on Finasteride for many yrs without problems....not saying everyone has zero side effects but for the majority it's a good option to slow or stop your loss dude

Thanks bud it sounds really encouraging so glad I joined this forum. My whole complexion has changed completely I was so hellbent on getting a hair transplant now it kind of seems to be the last thing on my mind. I’m looking forward to giving finasteride ago and seeing what magic it performs but I guess I will have to be patient to see results.

Back in 1998/1999 I had 2 hair transplants to fill in a thinning crown, both by the same clinic and both failed miserably leaving me with a few plugs and 2 nice strip scars. If the clinic was ethical and advised that I should get on Propecia I may never have needed any hair transplants. Like Bullitnut, we are both repair patients, both screwed by the same clinic because we did not have the means to research back then. Both have had to have multiple repair surgery which is something no one should have to endure.
I'm glad the forum is helping you. Take your time and research. stay safe and make the right choice.

Hopefully, more people find the forum before just doing it.

5.500 grafts per a session is too much. Normally the quality of implantation decreases by 2500 grafts. So be careful and dont over-harvest you donor.
