2839 Grafts FUE with Dr Lupanzula. Medikemos, September 2021

Hello to everyone,

It's been 2 weeks since I had my FUE 2839 grafts HT at Medikemos, performed by Dr Lupanzula. I had many options to chose from but after watching many youtube videos with excellent results as well as reading some very good reviews online, I decided I wanted to have my transplant done from him. I was a bit nervous at first but everything went super smooth. The doctor was very professional and after a while I was relaxed during the surgery.

I want to show my results here to encourage as well as help people from the community decide if, when and where they would like to do their procedure, since for me, loosing hair had quite a bad impact on my psychology. I already feel better and so much more confident just with the immediate after surgery result, seeing my new hairline. I am going to add some before and after pictures as well as keep you updated in the near future for my progress.

It looks like a very good and detailed work was done by Dr lupanzula and feeling excited to see my final result would be an understatement.

Hope you get a nice result Evangelos, looks neat work and I like your hairline, not so low. Can I ask, how old are you and do you use any meds for hair loss? Good growth to you. Be good to see your updates.

Thank you! I am 25 and I use minoxidil 5% twice a day. I used oral finasteride for almost 5 months and had some great results (which were gone by the time I did my transplant since I stopped taking it and they reversed). I had some uncommon concerning side effects. My libido was great, I didn't have any kind of depression nor foggy brain (some of the ''common'' sides normally named from users). I had some mild body discomfort/pain in the lower part of my belly and on the sides, which seemed quite wrong and therefore I stopped it. Will give a try a topical solution with the hope i wont have these sides. Are you on medication? If so what is your experience?

I would also like to add that the communication with Scott, from Medikemos team was great. Since day 1 of my application for my HT, he was very helpful with all kind of informations I needed. Responsive to all of my questions, giving me a lot of suggestions regarding medication, supplements, guidance as well as explaining me the process and what to expect before, during and after my procedure. My overall experience couldn't be better!

Hi Evangelos. Welcome to the forum.
Those 2839 grafts should make a very nice difference to your appearance once the hairline and behind grows in. The work looks nice and clean. The hairline design with the irregular peaks helps create a natural look. Do you have pictures of the donor extractions? I like to see them so I can compare to the post op healing.
It’s good to hear everything went well with the surgery and the communication with Scott. It’s a shame you had sides with the oral Finasteride after gaining a positive response from your hair. The topical version may work well once you try it out.

Thanks for sharing your story.
Looking forward to following your progress.
All the best.
Bm.

Excellent final result. Density looks spot on, thanks so much for taking the time to update everyone. It would be fantastic if you could show the final result with your hair back to showcase tha naturalness of the hairline. A hair band could be used to help with the hair being quit short. I'm very happy with the result, what are you thoughts? And everyone else's for that matter

Wow, what an improvement.

You must be very happy with that @Evangelos. What did Dr Lupanzula suggest about meds going forward? I know you had sides from fin, have you tried topical as @Bigmac suggested?

Thanks Evangelos for popping back with your final update. Your hair looks excellent, very good density has been achieved. It would be great to see the hair lifted up showing your hairline.
Did you try the topical Finasteride? I think it could work well for your crown.

I am indeed very happy. I use minoxidil once every night and thats it. Taking biotin 1000mg daily as well. I started to notice more thinning in the crown area so I am seriously considering adding finasteride to my topical minoxidil compound. Is there a recipe/compound of exactly what to ask for with all the amount % for creating a minoxidil+finasteride topical mix? Also I would like to know whether to use minoxidil on my transplanted hair from now (since I'm past a year from my HT) or if I don't have to/shouldn't. Any other general recommendations and suggestions are much appreciated

Thanks Scott, super happy with my result. I would like to ask you few questions: First, would like to know whether it is recommended to use minoxidil on my transplanted hair from now on (since I'm past a year from my HT) or if I don't have to/shouldn't

also I would like to start mixing finasteride in my topical solution minoxidil compound. Is there a recipe/compound of exactly what to ask for with all the amount % for creating a minoxidil+finasteride topical mix?

I will take more pictures with the hair back after shower and will upload most likely tomorrow or the day after!
