Scabs/Crust 2 months after surgery

Hi it’s been 2 months since my surgery. Yesterday when washing my head I noticed scabbing/crust in my crown area. I tried washing it out but it was hard and I had to put pressure to get the scabs off but with the scabs were attached hairs/grafts. Can this making the grafts not grow in since hairs were pulled out with the scabs/crust? I’ve attached a pic of what some of them looked like.

It will be grafts that are late shedders. Usually no force is required to remove them.

Okay because some of them were super stuck to my scalp even massaging them they wouldn’t come off cuz they latched onto the hair so I had to put pressure making it come off but yes I did contact them they just told me it is due to not doing my shampoo properly they aren’t very helpful to say the less telling me to wash my hair each day massaging it which I had been doing as I wash my hair every other day

Try not to worry as sone grafts go take a lot longer to shed. The dead skin/tissue is often attached like in your picture.
Which clinic did you go to? How many grafts did you have?

I went to FUE clinic and had 2,000 grafts implanted but I did notice in my 1st surgery I also had scabs in my crown area like 1 month or 2 months later as well which i think I’m washin my hair good but i did from reading hear how the dead tissue/skin will be attached to the graft I think I just have to start washing my head everyday

It`s a good idea to let the shampoo or conditioner soak for around ten minutes before massaging the area. This should turn them to mush and allow them to be removed easier.

Ya I’m gonna start doing that just nervous hoping the grafts will grow in good still I don’t know why I keep getting them in my crown area but I guess like you said some grafts take longer to shed…? But no the FUE clinic in Belgium

They may have grown for a few weeks before going into the shedding phase. It is nothing to worry about, quite a few patients experience the same.
So it was Dr Mwambas's clinic. Any chance you could document your journey?

Okay, then could that be why they started scabbing if they grew and then went into shedding phase?

From what I have seen it is usually the chubby grafts consisting of a few hairs that shed with dead tissue like this. Nobody seems to report any growth problems afterwards.

Okay great and thank you I left the shampoo in my hair for awhile and some of the scabs came out with the grafts without me having to put pressure

Ya thank you it did help tho I got nervous seeing the graft come off with it
