Dr Arshad 3000 Grafts Front and Crown

Hi Everyone,

I had a HT on 2nd June 2021 at The Hair Dr in Leeds. Extraction and channels carried out by Dr Arshad, implants by technicians supervised by Dr Hamza. I am now 7 months post op. These are my before and current pictures. Any thoughts?

It looks to be filling in but hard to compare to the first photo with the different distance. Have you been taking Finasteride?

I think more probably went in the front judging by them photos.

Hi Marko, welcome to the forum. It would be helpful to have a bit more info such as are you on any hair loss meds, number of grafts in the crown. The picture you posted of the crown looks as though it`s filling in but with it being a close up I can’t compare to your pre op.
The hairline in both temple corners is thin right now but you’re just over the halfway stage with another 5 months to go. Again pictures from a few feet away would give a better comparison.
How do you feel about your progress to date?

Hi mate. Sorry I’ve not been on here for a while. Here are some pre op pics and my most recent pics at 10 months. I went to see Dr Arshad who was very helpful. I think the left side still lags behind the right, which he agreed with but thought it was a good result overall. On on 1mg Fin and 1.25mg Min per day.

The left side does look thinner than the right. Still a chance to catch up but overall, your hair looks a lot better with a full hairline.
Your crown has improved a lot. The meds could further improve it. If it’s the same in another 6 months I would get a few hundred stuck in there to fill it in.

Looks better than before, it is a little thin in the front for 10 months I must say. The crown needs more time usually.

Here are my 12 month post op photos. I’ve put a hair band in to show how it looks pulled back. The left side still lacks as much density as the right. I’m seeing the Dr tomorrow.

Front looks good from that distance, but I assume it looks more like your close up photos on Month 10 or did it improve alot since then?

It’s not really improved much mate. I can hide it with crafty combing, but I was doing that before having a HT.

Just had my post 12 month check up with Dr A. He agreed that the density at the front isn’t what is expected, and asked me to book in for a top up at the front. He thinks around 500/600 grafts should be enough to give me decent density, with 2s and 3s packed in behind the hairline. He did comment on my hair’s characteristics, as it sort of grows out at the sides, rather than down (my former hairdresser said it was a bit like Chinese hair apparently). He thinks this could have something to do with the low density ‍♂️ Either way, at least I know it’s going to be dealt with.

Good that they take care of you with another surgery for free.

Just over 19 months post HT now. Trying to grow my hair out a bit to hide the lack of density. Starting to resemble a 90s boy band member
