Coming along fine thanks BM, last little bit of pinkness left at the front. At 10 weeks now and noticed some growth has just started in some areas so things should get interesting from here on in hopefully.
Still got a little ways to go before my skin is at base line colour but healing fine, keep it covered as my hair is long on top about 5 inches inches or so and covers everything which is good. I used aloe sometimes as recipient was itchy and that helped calm things and I wash my hair most days. Dealing with pimples at moment in the front area...hot flannel and alcohol/surgical spirit but dont mind those as theirs a hair/hairs pushing through usually! hows your situ Crudence ?
I also used Aloe for itching which helped. Those pimples are a sure sign things are happening.
As for myself, I can feel the hairs pushing through, going to update at the end of the month.
Well thanks BM....have a little growth at varying degrees from one area to another and can feel some short hairs with my hands.Redness is pretty much gone and Just dealing with a large problematic pimple that developed near the front and just got some prescription meds that Dr Mwamba advised me to get from my local doc to speed up the healing as its stubborn and in an awkward place to avoid accidently knocking it.
Hi Dazz im good and at 11 months 3 weeks now(not that im counting in any way shape or form ha-ha) and there is a nice cosmetic improvement and look. On the down side left hairline has poor yield and area behind is a bit weak although growth is still coming in there. I saw Dr Mwamba at 8.5 months and its improved some since then, will leave it another 5 weeks or so before a review. I will need another small op to address left side and also add a bit of density to forlock and top and also fill a few gaps on right side and in the hairline. A bit of hairline refining will be needed at the same time so all in all im about 75% of where I want to be at. Hope all is well with you!.
TC. good to hear back from you. Hard to tell the hairline which looks good from what I can see. The area you have shown with weaker growth may need a touch up of a few hundred grafts after 12 months.
Thanks Crudance hows things coming along with you ? I will See what comes from my final review when I have it. I reckon 3-500 grafts will be enough over whole area but well see.
I am doing great. Need to update my 12 months pictures. I think you will be fine after you have the final evaluation, Dr Mwambas work looks awesome. I am sure he will address any weak areas.
Overall i think the progress still looks great dude, such and improvement from where you started (bet the xmas partys are going to be good this year lol) once the little tweaks are completed your going to be a changed man. Has the first op improved your confidence do you think?
Thanks BN yeah confidence is higher and not thinking about hair so much and can style it a few different ways so can get on with other things and socializing. As you can appreciate in lower lighting it looks better so its not at the desired density in regular lighting but confident it will be after another session.
Looking good TC, that small area that has not grown in so well may catch up but if not a small touch up will sort it out.
Good to see you back.
Cheers Bm.
Looking good mate and and a very nice improvement, I would give it at least another 6 months before you think of doing any touch ups , you must be delighted with the results so far all the best and thanks for keeping us updated .
Thanks BM and Dazz I'm pretty happy overall but not fully satisfied quite yet. Initially the doc did quote for 2400 grafts for the optimal amount and I am planning in my head to have the next op around April time all being well.
