2500 grafts enough??

Currently a 38 year old male with hereditary hair loss. Since taking minoxidil around 9 mo.ths ago I have seen no more hair loss, but no hair grow.

Recently booked into a reputable clinic who have seen the pictures I have sent and have talked to on zoom and have booked a procedure for September.

Been quoted for 2500 grafts, bit when looking at other people's FUE Transplants 2500 grafts don't look anywhere near to thicken my hair up and I am starting to worry.

Anybody with previous experience and any advice would be appreciated.

I think you would definitely need more than 2500 to get a result you would be happy with. I would send your photos to several clinics to get a broad view of what they think you need

Thanks for the reply, a little worried now because they claim 2500 grafts would be fine and at £7000 I want to make sure it's the right decision.

Yeah would definitely say more than 2500 grafts. Dependant on what you're hoping to achieve I'd say 3000 would be a good starting point. How many clinics have you had consultations with?

Depending on what your goals are, you may need more. If you’re just wanting to concentrate on the hairline and slightly behind, then 2500 could be fine. If you’re wanting to do the whole are, then 2500 is not enough.
Could you add a picture, if you have one from the clinic with the surgery plan marked out?
I see you’re on Minoxidil and say it has stabilised your loss. Have you tried or looked into Finasteride?
