Hi all

This is now 2 weeks since my HT and have been washing daily with the provided shampoo.

Felt good to get back into my bed and not need the travel pillow anymore!

I still have a few scabs left but getting more confident with each wash so should be gone soon. Seeing a few hairs come out with the scabs which sounds normal and have been keeping up with the aloe spray.

Had no pain still but if I touch my donor area sometimes I get a slight tingle but think it's the skin being a bit sensitive while it recovers.

It's good with out the scabs as you can start to see what the coverage really looks like - just need to give it time now to see how well it progresses!

Roll on to the shedding and ugly duckling stages!

It looks like everything is on track and you`re healing well. The few remaining scabs will come off when they`re ready.
Your donor can be sensitive and occasionally give you sharp short pains in certain parts while the healing process is going on.
Soon enough you will be back to a pre op stage and waiting for those new hairs to sprout.
Thanks for the update.

Hi all it was 3 weeks on Friday but here are a few pics from this morning.

Donor seems to be doing ok- I think at certain angles you can still notice the extracted area more but that might be because I am looking for it!

Starting to shed more and more now on top which is expected - I've been wearing hats when i go to the shops as it's not very flattering look so just going to have to push through and keep a low profile for a while!

Your donor looks good. It can take some time before it fully recovers but right now I'd be happy with how it is.
I doubt anyone would notice anything if you never wore a hat but I understand how it can give you a sense of security knowing no one can see.
Has the tingling gone away yet?

Thanks - yeah I am happy with how I am progressing and I've not really had any more tingling this week, which is good.

The hat is more for for my scalp and shedding - starting to get some different lengths with my existing hairs and transplanted ones /shedding which I don't think looks too flattering. Will see how it goes but might need a tidy up when the barbers reopen.

I have noticed the grafts continuing to grow before they shed, however those in my hairline are shorter not sure if that is due to them being the fine singles from the nape / ears rather than a 'normal' singles?

Hi all

Week 4 on Friday for me with some pics below. Time has gone quite quickly to think it was a month ago I was having the HT!
I think I am similar to week 3 really with some more shedding along with my hair continuing to grow so it's a bit messy but need to just keep hopeful and get through the next couple of months.

I've started using my laser band again (just as I have it, so thought I would give it a go again) and will start back on minoxidil this week when my order arrives - had forgotten I ran out just before!

What I don't like are all my greys so looking forward to being able to dye my hair again at some point!

Everything should be returning to normal pre op look round about now. Using your laser will be fine, it may or may not be of benefit but certainly won`t do any harm. When you begin using the minoxidil again I would probably miss every other day to ease it back into your regimen and just to be careful not to irritate your scalp.
The grey hairs are a small price to pay right now. As you have experienced, time goes by quickly and you`ll be able to dye them before you know it.

Hi all

Now at the 6 week mark and well into the shedding! Not noticing as many hairs falling now so hoping I'm nearer the end of this stage.

Everything else feels fine with both donor and scalp no tingles or anything. The longer the back and sides have got the better the donor region has blended in I think.

Despite knowing it was coming and trying to mentally prepare, I am finding the current look a bit tough. I'm glad I can still WFH to keep a low profile but with restrictions easing I do want to go out more to catch up with friends so need to get over it!

Not sure if I should buzz it back really short again and embrace it for a while or try and push through to get back to my normal pre HT length on top (good old comb over!)
