This patient has been taken back to his youthful self, nice work! ;) At what density were the grafts placed?

Hi NCB,

This patient is not yet 30 and his hair loss progressed pretty high. The crown, as you know, can eat up a lot of grafts. Keep in mind that he's only 8 months post op from 2nd surgery so we expect more growth/coverage. He's on Fin and Rogaine so we hope he'll be able to stablize further loss.

How many grafts it will take to top him off will depend on 1) further loss, 2) what he's happy with - slight coverage, moderate coverage or full, thick coverage. With two prior surgeries, his donor supply will be too depleted to achieve full coverage. I don't think our docs would want to plant more than 1000 fu's into the top of crown area for someone in his position.

JJ09,

We generally plant 30-40 fu's per cm2 into the top and mid sections. The hairlines tend to have 35 to 45 fu's per cm2

Hi Janna,

superb result!

Any idea of the total area that was covered?

I would estimate the total area covered by both surgeries to be around 140-150cm2, but I will check with Dr. Paul to ask what he estimates it to be.
