Advice needed! Who to use in the UK?

Hi all.
I have been pondering over the decision to have a HT for a couple of years. I am currently 29 years old and have been losing my hair for the last 6/7 years. I obviously suffer a lot with self confidence issues, and a little bit of depression. I decided last month that I am going to go ahead with my decision and go for a HT. I have been so happy since.
I have been doing bits of research, I've read up on a couple of Dr's who people have been praising. But, I wouldn't want to jump into any old clinic and end up not liking what they do (I have a close friend who had surgery in Nottingham last year, and he is going back for a second because he isn't happy with the first). I would love it if anyone could give me some information on a few things...
1. Who are the best Dr's in the UK? Is there any I should stay away from?
2. Is traveling to Belgium a better option?
3. Is there much of a price difference between the UK and Belgium?
I've uploaded a picture, so you can see where I am with it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi GJK,
Welcome to the forum. I think you're a great candidate as long as you understand the realities of hair restoration surgery.

In the UK there area a few options with one of my favorites being Dr. Ball. The problem as I see it is that he does not do a lot of FUE (I could be wrong) but he does a very good strip surgery. I cannot say what his practice is like or how consistent he is so that is up to you to discover if you wish to learn more.

If you are hoping for FUE I think there are fewer options but if you are looking to Belgium, which is a short jaunt away, then you've got a fantastic option with Dr. Lupanzula at Medikemos Clinic in Brussels. In fact, your case reminds me of one of his documented results on a 27 year old patient with a similar pattern of loss and similar hair color to scalp color contrast.

I've been to Dr. Lupanzula's clinic and I spent a few days getting to know his clinic and his staff and I think he's one of the best in the world. He has very high standards for how his clinic is operated and he is very strict about doing all of the FUE extractions himself. This is not a common practice in FUE hair transplant surgery so learn what you can about who does what in the clinic you choose.

I had repair work with Vinci clinic. Some will say avoid chain clinics which to a certain degree is good advice but if you have a doctor that has worked at the same place consistenly with a proven track record then it's no different. Meet with patients or at least interact with them as their knowledge and experience will be invaluable. I'm very happy with the result I have received from Vinci.
1. Best doctors in the uk. You will receive a mixed opinion on this.
2. Travelling to Belgium. Some outstanding doctors there judging by results and patient testimonials.
3. Price difference. Belgium probably works out cheaper with the Euro bring at a low.
Looking at your picture 2000 - 2500 grafts as a rough guess.
