Advice needed

Hi I have been looking at the forum for quite some time and have finally decided to post .
I am 32 I have noticed my hair receding since early twenty’s and I also have always had fine hair , it has now gotten to the stage where I can’t stand it any longer and would like to do something about it . From other medical issues I have had I am in firm belief that you are only as good as your doctor and that is where I find my conundrum I have read the forums on here and followed people’s journeys and looked at there results I identified Dr Ball at the Maitland Clinic,
Dr Mark Tam , and the Farjo Clinic where I would like to book a consultation. It feels like a minefield and I feel like i do not want to get things wrong so please who is the best surgeons in the uk ? Who is the best in the world? I am not made of money but would rather pay extra and get the hair I want then to have a botched head and have regret for the rest of my life .

The farcical nonsense page you mentioned has been removed.
The clinics you mention have quite a few patient and clinic posted results on here which you will have seen already.
Consult with the clinics if you feel their results are good enough.

Are you on any hair loss prevention regimen? Meds could improve your hair enough that you don’t require a HT.

I have always been worried about them as I have had cardiac issues previously

Have a chat with your GP or a HT doctor about them. As far as I’m aware, Finasteride has not been proven to cause cardiac issues. Again, always get a medical opinion on this.

Considered by who? Since it’s subjective people will have differing opinions. You mentioned some well regarded clinics in your original post but the normal advice is to look through patient results and decide for yourself, and try not to limit yourself by geography if you can avoid it.

I had surgery with Dr Ball but I also had consultations with many other clinics, he just seemed the right choice for me personally. You need to speak with multiple clinics as they might all give you different evaluations, at that point you need to make a decision based on who is best for you. Most will likely suggest you take Finasteride for a year before surgery to see how you respond or if your able to take it without sides so it's worth considering.

It's worth checking the IAHRS site as they list many of the worlds top surgeons for you to choose from.

There is not necessarily the 'best' rather a surgeon that suits a patient. In the UK the likes of Farjo and Ball are popular choices as they produce consistently high results. Overseas there is Bisanga, feriduni and a few others in Belgium. Canda Hasson and Wong, America a few such as Shapiro, Konior to name just a few.

I only had it a couple of months ago so I can't speak for the results yet but the clinic has been excellent so far.

I would advise checking out @Hairstory and @SussexHair threads on here as they did some very good video diaries of their procedures which really helped me in my research. I would also say you really need to see a surgeon in person before going ahead with anything as this allows them to check for any underlying scalp conditions and donor quality.

Do as much research as you can before making a decision is the best advice anyone can give you.

Speak with a hair loss/hair transplant doctor on what’s available. Maybe a topical treatment would suit you.

Your photo are very similar to my situation I Want Hair . Though I'm a bit more gone in the crown . Did you book a treatment in the end ?
