Hi All,

I hope each of you have had a great Christmas.

I have been searching for a hair transplant clinic for a while now and have booked a ticket to fly out to Turkey next month. I have been in talks with a clinic named esthetic hair turkey but was advised by matt dominance to not use this clinic.
I'm now having a very hard time deciding on which clinic to choose.

I am looking for a doctor that specializes in DHI that will give me long lasting results. The pictures really don't tell as I took them a few days after a buzz cut but my donor area and surrounding hair is really thick.

I was advised by the clinic that I would need two session with the first starting with 3000 grafts to sort out the front of my hairline and then they will check my donor area in 6 months to see how much is left for the crown area.

As this is a serious procedure I wanted to make sure I go to have it done with the right doctor and one who is educated in African American hair and I have come across this forum with a load of great people with informative advise, so I thought best to ask of any clinic recommendations.

Thank you for your time as this will really help me on my hair loss journey.

DHI is just the method used… Why did the youtuber say do not use them? Your donor looks quite weak in those pictures which could be a deciding factor for surgery, even though it looks thicker when longer.

He did not give a reason, but all of their reviews are great I'm really finding it difficult on weather or not to use them.. H

So, he does not provide a reason….just tells you not to go there… Why not trust your own judgement and research as opposed to some random youtuber… Speak to patients from the clinic who are in a better position to comment.

Yes I guess that's why I've come onto this forum

You are a high Norwood pattern around a 5 which could indicate further progression to a 6….unless it looks worse with the shaved head..
Have you got any pictures with your hair longer? This will provide a better idea of coverage with the 3000 grafts… Do you take any meds for hair loss?

It is hard to tell from your picture what hair you have left in the frontal half of your head. If you could get 3000 without over harvesting your donor, then I would concentrate on the frontal 3rd, rather than frontal half as shown in your picture. As Bullitnut mentioned, a picture with longer hair would help to evaluate your current hair loss pattern.
The clinic you mention do have a lot of results on their website. They look as though hair transplants is an addition to the other cosmetic procedures they offer. I can’t really tell you if they are any good though. They may or may not be.
Were you told to go to another clinic when advised not to use this one?

Hi there Bigmac I was waiting on your response and thank you for taking your time out to reply I will try and take some photos tomorrow as I have left my hair to grow out before going turkey. And to answer your question no I wasent advised any other clinic just advised to not use that one but as you mentioned they look like they have some really good results on there website.. Since then I have been looking into Dr acar at cosmedica and was wondering if you have any advice on them. I've seen quite a few celebrities go to the clinic.

Well I can’t comment on why he advised you not to choose this clinic. Maybe he has spoken to patients with poor results but to simply say don’t go is not very helpful to you.
If you do like the look of the clinic and the results see if they’ll provide you with some contact details of patients who are willing to chat or meet up with you. I have met a few of Dr Acars patients while in Turkey, their results were good. They have a few tech teams at his clinic so it’s important you ask about their experience and which results are their work if you choose an option of tech only. Me personally, I’d want the doctor involved.
