For those considering anti depressants which I €™m sure have their place these video titles now available on youtube are worth taking the time to view in order to educate yourself. Personally I have done a substantial amount of reading on the subject as anything health or medical related interests me along with how we are marketed to as individuals.

This country the USA is the absolute best as getting people to believe. We have become the fattest most depressed people in the world yet the psychotropic drug market has grown to $40 Billion and keeps getting bigger.

What you put into your mouth and your lifestyle is going to determine how you feel. Once you thoroughly understand this by researching the subject you will be in control of how you feel and not some drug or doctor.

I agree to a certain extent with most other illnesses, but having members of my family who suffered/suffer from depression badly i personally believe this to be untrue. Depression is a mental health illness....... people with great lifestyles, eg people with lots of cash, nice women, nice cars and people who are super fit etc still get depressed.....It's not just a frame of mind or low mood, it's a brain illness.

I do however agree with you that certain medications are not always necessary and money may come into it, that being said i believe for the most part the medications involved in treating depression do work....and i have seen this first hand with my own family.

I respect your opinion dude but my own opinion differs through experience.

A close relative of mine suffered post natal depression and was sectioned to hospital under the mental health act. This same hospital brought her back from a state that can only be described as brain dead through medications and ECT treatment......so i strongly support antidepressent medications.

Bullitnut I respect your opinion, thank you for responding but are views differ greatly in this area. Less than 1% of world €™s population eats a natural diet and the other 99% probably adds a host of over the counter and prescription medicines to the mix of crap they are consuming.

Just spoke to a friend that experienced post partum depression and now 5 years later the doctors have her addicted to several different medications and she is struggling to get off of them.

There are just too many foods, chemicals and medications that can cause depression. Unless someone is truly free of all of this they really can €™t say that they were born depressed. Something as simple as soy can cause extensive health issues and were talking about only one food here. I mean it is really a long, long list even something someone would not even think about like florescent lighting which is not full spectrum lighting can cause severe depression.

I think it €™s better to become as aware as possible and eliminate all these potential causes first.

The global pharmaceutical market share is approaching $1 Trillion Dollars, now that takes a lot of believers.
