Afternoon folks, Im looking for advice regarding best meds for my hair my hair is thick all over but is receding on the hairline, I have tried monoxidil foam but it irritated my scalp, I could also have a small hairline transplant but unsure how this would look any advice would be grateful
thanks Andy

Look up no alcohol minoxidil and you’ll find quite a few suppliers. There is oral minoxidil too.

Please do not go in for a transplant. You don't need it. You can try finasteride to prolong baldness. You can take the medication for a couple of months and observe its effects in your case. Accordingly you can decide to continue it or not.

Hi Andy, thank you for your post! As an addition to your regiment I wanted to bring to your attention the Magna Herba Shampoo by Antiqueterra which is an expensive treatment shampoo that does not do too much for all stages of hair loss / thinning hair. You can find it on Etsy. Hope that helps!
Better off just using Nizoral a few times per week.

Your best bet is the big three- Finasteride, minoxidil and niz shampoo. There are of course deviations such as dutasteride (stronger than fin), topical finasteride and oral minoxidl. Personally I would avoid the herbal stuff. I do not think anything that does not sit on your scalp for long enough will make much difference. There is also a lack of data for herbal as well.
