I think this is Dr Manish Mittal, I literally posted about him a few posts back. He ‘might’ be worth consideration as his results look good and I believe he costs a lot less than ‘top’ UK surgeons, but like the other poster says, you really need to go off and research them Yourself. You just need to be aware that ‘top’ UK surgeons are going to be extremely expensive. Obviously how many grafts you need is going to play a big factor.

Hi Guys... New on here and as someone that has been looking since covid to get my hair done i am confused... everyone has there own option what i am looking for is a list of the best Surgeons in the UK top 5, But it seems everyone has there own ideas which is making me more stressed as i just would like to find out who is good and who is bad. so what need are the basic things i should be looking for as a novice??? I am 49 i think just need a hairline as it is going back and as i have longish hair so was thinking off my options.
The best thing you can do is to be on forums .
Take your time and do plenty of research. Folk can give you there opinion but you must research yourself, you will gain good knowledge from folk who have had surgery. Do not do your research from clinics own advertising.
Perhaps posting photos of your hair loss situation and what you would like to achieve will help folk to guide you. Are you on any hair loss meds ?

Looks like you have barely any hair loss; just a little thinning.

I won't push any clinic to you. As others have said do your own research so you'll make the most informed decision. Make sure you look at genuine and multiple patient reviews (not just clinic posted) over the last 1-2 years on multiple forums.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and research. I can only speak from my 12 plus years of research and surgeries. There are a couple of this Dr Mittal on here but IMO nowhere near enough to even consider getting onto a shortlist. I want to be able to go onto any hairloss forum and be able to find results going back several years, be able to speak to and potentially meet past patients. If I cannot do that I would not go put on a shortlist let alone operate.

Sometimes a newer doctor has to start somewhere and get patients. I think they sell themselves on a low price to justify booking them rather than an established doctor who is twice a much.

If someone wants to be one of the first to line up then carry on and be the experiment. Many great doctors train as associated under another so they learn from the best. Look at the likes of Dr Bloxham- trained under Dr Feller. They then get the experience and may go their own way or carry on in the same clinic.

IMO I would have in Farjo, Maitland Clinic, Dr Reddy. This is based on over 12 years of research and I personally went to Dr Farjo and went to Feriduni over in Belgium several years ago.

I see no signs of hair loss in the photos that you posted. If there is, it must be minimal and, given that surgery is neither risk-free nor scar-free (not to mention expensive), I don't think that it is something you should pursue. However, it's your call. All the best.

Thanks for the advice guys... really thankfully

I had 5 consultations yesterday and 3 said i need FUT ranging between 1400/1800 FUT.... One was the wimpole clinic which if i am honest was just a sales person selling me and as the guys above are saying i don't need FUT why is the being offered to me???

The only Clinics i spoke to that refused me was Dr Ball and Dr Mani... saying my hair was yes as you said thinning but totally for my age very good... i am just so confused guys as the only ones that said no are members of the IAHRS??? Just seems very strange as 3 clinics said yes but the only 2 that said no are members of the association ... why is the IAHRS and it Doctors giving different advice to people that are not???

Feels like i am in shark infested waters as the information is just well... conflicting

I do browse clinic websites and see credentials that will trained with world renown surgeon in the US usually but they do not mention the name. They probably paid a flying visit for a day or so to observe and then state trained.

Hi

I’ve only been looking into this myself since the beginning of this year, but I have been relentlessly searching across the web to try to digest as much information as possible. Certainly Farjo, Maitland and a few others would be the main UK clinics most would quote when asked for top UK options. I just threw Dr Mittal into the mix as his name did keep popping up from time to time and I did think his results looked rather good. A quick scan of this forum today and there are 5 good looking results on the first page of the ’Hair Transplant Patients’ section. He definitely seems like someone you might wish to research and consider if you wish to have surgery in the UK and his prices seem below the established ‘top‘ surgeons generally discussed. To be quite clear I have zero affiliation with Dr Mittal and am just going from what I’ve read and people would need to make their own minds up……just thought he was worthy of consideration. I’ve was going to post 16 links to threads I found on this forum by entering ‘Mittal’ into the search function, but after painstakingly pasting them all in, it wouldn’t allow me to post links! They can all be found using this search method though. Cheers.
A very good doctor who listens to what you want but will also tell you what is truly realistic. And that is my experience of Dr Manish Mittal. Have a consult with him, and see how you feel.

I always tell potential patients you are having life changing surgery on your head, visible to everyone, not buying a second hand car.
