Hi Buddy

Glad to hear everything is going well for you and your happy with your progress so far the pictures look great , you still have a fair way to go with the crown 5 months is still early and its true it takes more time for that to develop so hopefully after 12 months that will be even better than you expected thanks for the update as always

Cheers

Looking good at this stage, I'm glad your scar has had good growth.Your crown will probably need more grafts in the future if you want it filling in more, they do tend to take a lot of grafts although yours is looking ok and its still very early days.
Thanks for the update.

Looks really good, crowns are notorious for taking longer to grow as you know so wouldn't worry yet. Did the doc say how many grafts you had left in your donor bank.
I'm glad your happy and got good growth with the FUE into the scar, i know it would be hard but would love to see a picture of your scar next time you get a short haircut dude.

Many thanks for updating Modenese. Very encouraging for this stage for the scar in particular as things will only get better there so if already it has brought about a good cosmetic change then we know the final outcome should be very satisfactory.

Crown still very early, they are slower growers from experience so plenty to come but can see signs of growth there.

Thanks for all the comments guys - appreciated.

One thing I forgot to mention. My hair (transplanted hair) had started to feel a little thinner before the second operation - you can see it in my photos. Very worrying!
However, it's all come back now and feels good. So I've no idea what that was about, just recording in case anyone else thins out at the 12 month mark - it's not necessarily the end of the world.

Looking very good Modenese. Mid Scalp area filling in nicely.

You should also see more growth in crown. Further back on the head , longer the growth time is the mantra really.

You could also have just had noticed a seasonal shed as the hair cycles re the thinning which is common.

It's good that your hair is back to normal but it's worrying that it thinned before, what did your doctor say about this.

As Boberto said really, patients have seasonal shedding, some can be significant and for others not so noticeable but we all shed hair as the hair cycles and 50 to 100 hairs a day for some is normal and can be more evident on a transplant as we do not place at native density so the illusion factor is then more so effected by a shed than a full head of hair would be and it can be dramatic and look lifeless for a period of time.

Not many patients have shedding to a major degree, we ask usually for changes in diet, medication and any treatment to the hair and if nothing changed then often it is a normal shed for them. It can be worrying but it does grow back and I don't personally know of a patient that has lost transplanted hair over time, some will lose native hair that helped with the illusion but not the actual transplanted. But transplanted or not hair still goes through cycles and this explains most of the issue.

Hi Badger,

I was a bit concerned but didn't report it to them. My guess was that the whole lot went into dormant at the same time (at the time of transplant 1), came out of dormant at the same time about 5 months later, so I supposed a high proportion would cycle again together. As time goes by I expect things will adjust.

But I did have a few WTF moments.

Plus you have to factor in increased physiological sensitivity after the transplant. Meaning you can take too much notice.

Hi Daz

Definitely still enjoying the dancing. Could not do it without the hair.

I should be able to post some pictures this weekend, but the results on the crown work I have to say are somewhat disappointing.

I'm still thin there, and have not gotten to where I wanted to be. The issue is that not enough grafts were placed due to having so many placed into my thin mid patch and scar, and the doctor having a flight to catch.

I don't want to give the wrong impression here. Where I had grafts it's ok, but there were not enough taken on the day.

I think the first one was very successful and I enjoy it every day.

But you'll see for yourselves when I post the photos.

Hi Modenese

I know the feeling having hair just makes life so much better don't it , the worse thing about having other sessions is having the funny haircut lol , anyway its great to see you back on the boards , am looking forward to seeing your pictures it takes time the crown so their is still growing and maturing time .

Have a great weekend
