I'll pull more pics from my proper pink camera (not a phone) next week when I get some spare time. I've been swamped after you left.

I'll take Gloria - surprised you're not calling me Rudy for Rude! *nl You're a good sport!

Hey BN,

Here are your donor sutures pics - thought you might be interested in seeing these. You probably recall your donor was taken out in three sections to harvest the best donor area and to excise the worst of your existing scar in the center.

We hope you're healing well.

Looks like great work... but best of all I am so impressed with the planning..

Donor taken from 3 areas....

Janna... is this a common way of extracting donor. I have several scars from previous UK surgeries and wonder if mine could have been done this way.

I also like the look of BN's new hairline... it seems from the pictures that it has been placed in a sort of "jagged" way rather than just an arc like mine...

BN... I am going to be really interested in seeing your updates and am probably just as keen as you are to watch those hairs grow.... like a father waiting for his wife to produce their baby..... I guess in this case you probably have several surrogate fathers all anxious to see the results..

Cheers all

Timbo... (PS have got the cigars ready) :)

wow janna

they are cool pics i havent seen them before thanks so much for posting them for me your an angel!! (and i want your camera it always takes superb pics )

i will get round to posting pics i promise the problem being my camera charger as done a vanishing act.

Just a quick update though my donor is healing nicely and not giving me any problems sleeping, which is a relief and my scalp has just started to scab over in the last few days it didnt scab straight away(or if it did i didnt really notice them because they must have been small) they are now coming away boo hoo along with some hairs.

On the bright side i realise its all part of the long term plan so no biggy just a bummer seeing those babies jump ship i was feeling great parading around the house with a hairline and hairs on my normally shiny dome.

timbo i feel excited too my friend and its great to have mates like yourself on here. You seem to share the same enthusiasm for my hair as me lol. Your a cool guy and when it grows out ill send you a signed photo dude made into a coffee place mat or something similar lol.

ps its great to have half brained folk like you gracing the forums cheers pal ¬b`

Tim,

When patients have had previous work, it is common to take donor in sections. Of course yours could have been done in such a way. It depends on your donor supply and your physician's technique and philosphy. Dr. Shapiro has done countless lectures and surgery demonstrations on his hairlines. I believe that's what he's best known for.

BN,

I'm glad you like the pics.

Wow that donor closure looks great.Cant wait to see what your scar looks like in 6 months.

I like the approach SMG took with the seperate scars- harvesting as much donor possible safely to give you the best outcome in this first pass.

I bet you cant wait for your next session.

Heal and grow well mate.

Great update of everything. Very interesting to see the donor extraction done this way and it totally makes sense. I am not sure why this does not happen this way more often? Great planning. I am certain that it comes down to placement of old grafts and finding best way to harvest while minimizing stress on the sutures.

There is no doubt that Dr. Ron is best known for his hairlines. Ofcourse his calming demeanor and great staff all are great attributes but nonetheless it is his mastery of perfecting the hairline that has established his reputation. That is why I chose him over anyone else. In my opinion, this is the most critical aspect of the HT.

Janna--question regarding Bullit. It appears to me that he has some "rogue" native hairs in front of the hairline created for him. (unless the angles are deceiving) Is he going to have to shave these until they naturally fall out? I have seen this with a few people and it works best for their scenario. Just curious.

NN

hi nn i think i can answer that as the pics are slightly decieving, you are right there are some rogue hairs. But only a few my friend lol and dr Ron blended the hairline in where it was thicker to attain a natural look :)

BN,

You have a lot of scabs remaining. Soak your head under the shower for good 10 minutes each time you shower to soften up the scabs. Massage the scabs when shampooing with the pads of your fingers tips. You should have them gone within the next 5 days. Get busy, cocka!
