Amazing photo ´s of the before and after 1st op, imagine in a yrs time how good this will look and the shites from Norton will be a very distant memory. thanks sparkyZ:B, no i didnt get any into the temples i had some around the widows peak but mostly they were towards the crown.;)

i believe the good doc said i had around 1000 left in my donor bank, but my laxity this time was very tight, im very happy though with the placement of the grafts we got ...the laxity was probably due to the previous Norton surgeries.

Nice write up mate,i`m glad it all went smoothly for you and the pictures are great.Looks like you`ll have some very nice coverage with this recent work with more available donor to refine/touch up any other areas that may need it.

Your donor scar from the first op is amazing especially when you see what your old Norton work had left you with, good to hear that Dr Paul Shapiro was able to excise out the remaining bit of the old work.

Kudos to the SMG team,Spencer Kobren for paying for this round of flights and everyone else involved old and new.

Cheers bm.

Thanks BN for your thorough write up. I like how you put a pic of the hotel. I'm sure they'll appreciate it. BN stated he was upgraded to a suite, which isn't the norm. The state of Minnesota nurses were on strike when BN was here and LaQinta wanted all the rooms w/double beds for the nurses so they upgraded BN's room to a suite. The hotel manager said our patients, who get 10% discount off lowest rates by entering promotion code: SHAPMED, are on their preferential treatment list so they automatically get upgraded to a room with mini fridge and microwave when available. ;)

It was great to see BN again and he was in his usual high spirits, as always. We definately would have liked to have gotten more grafts this time around but his laxity in the center especially was very tight. Dr. Paul didn't want to risk a big donor scar. BN had two sections with previous scars from Norton - Dr. Paul stated he was able to excise one but the other one will have to remain for now. BN's scar Dr. Ron healed beautifully - better than in picture posted.

BN was happy to hear there is more in the donor bank so he stated he's saving up to come back next year. Of course we'll address a 3'rd procedure depending on the results of this 2nd result - one step at a time.

hi janna ;)just curious if you get a mo could you please post the graft count as i could only estimate at 1350 i wasn't exactly sure.

bigmac thanks for your support as always and i echoe what you said about kudos to everyone involved ¬b`.

spex....as janna says i have a little left in the donor bank for another procedure which is cool, not too sure whether it would be strip or FUE as in all the excitement i forgot to ask;;D

warm wishes everyone.

You have another 1000-1300 remaining via strip procedure as we assumed you'd want to stick with strip but I suppose FUE session is an option. But the number of grafts we'll be able to get will depend on your density. The grafts we'll be able to extract via FUE will likely be lower than 1000 since your donor density is on the low side.
