Hi Everybody!

I had a temples only HT 3 days ago ago with Dr. Patedakis in London Clinic. Here are my details:

Age: 23

Level of loss: NW 4

Medications: propecia 1 per day for 1 month but stopped cause of side effects (libido has decreased and erection strength decreased too plus watery semen) Rogaine Foam 5% for 2 months and nizoral shampoo.

Surgical Details: FUE (Direct In method). Area transplanted=a and b zone, 2.237 grafts in 2 days( 4.230 hairs )

Because of my age the doctor insisted on meds but after having some side effects I decided to move on with the transplant. The pictures bellow were given to me by the clinic but I will try to shoot some of my own in the following days.

I hope you get the results you desire.

How many grafts did DHI say you have left in your donor area for future hair transplants? Its good to see you have had a modest/conservative amount of grafts in your recipient area, particulary in view to your young age and advanced hairloss.

Best wishes.

Hey there. I took some photos. Really helps myself to see the difference.

Some friends are asking but i don't feel comfortable talking about it. Did you feel the same way after your hair transplant? Do you really tell them about it?

It's tough losing your hair young, if the meds don't work and you don't want the shaved look.I think you have chosen the right path with having a decent but modest size Fue procedure, once this grows out you can then decide if you wish to further add more hair and hopefully you don't progress any further with future loss.
Thanks for sharing your story and I'll look forward to following your progress,
All the best,
Bm.

I agree with Bigmac, it's hard dealing with loss at such a young age. I am not going to bang on about the meds because everyones different, but for what it's worth i had watery semen for a short while too and it soon sorted itself out*nl.
As for talking to people about your HT thats a decision only you can make dude....some feel happier being totally open about it and some prefer to keep it to themselves. Me i have only told a selected few i know i can trust. It's not that i am embarrased, i just would rather keep it to myself.

Pelekis, I must be honest, you have to do what makes you keep moving. I do appreciate your reception about the entire experience that you have lived and shared with all of us here. I definitely applaud the conservative approach and I must say that the grafts look good. The 'less is more' is obviously one of the best ways to effectively maintain you donor and yield a positive change. Hair transplantation is for those who can benefit.

Yeah, snap off those photos as much as possible. You're going to want to produce the comparisons when the time has come. You'll eventually forget about it for a little while. All things considered, you should see some noticeable improvement since the quality of the hair will be a trade in your favor. Keep those grafts healthyZ:B

I hope to hear from you real soon.

You had the same hairline that I have now, and I too am looking for a "modest" look. Can I be cheeky and ask how much did it cost?
