Two and a half months out from FUE. Hair in donor area getting better, messy and gray aside. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get a normal haircut so all hairs are the same length and thickness in the months to come.

Good to hear and see it`s growing back. Hopefully, it makes a full recovery for you.
Thanks for updating.

For the most part, my hair has grown back. Although, I’m not sure if I can shave the sides and back with a four guard anymore. There might be thin areas if I go that short like I used to. I’ve just been having the hair stylist use scissors to neaten it up every month to month and a half. I can’t really tell myself, I just don’t want to risk it at this time. I’m just glad that I don’t have to wear a hat anymore.

It looks as though it`s recovered quite well.
What does the transplanted area look like? Are you happy so far?

There would appear to be a good improvement from the last photos that you shared where your donor area clearly had weaknesses and larger areas where the scalp was visible. Considering your timeline, this may also continue to improve.
As you have said, whilst your donor may have limitations now in terms of hair length, based on your initial photos, your current photos are looking much better.

I don’t notice anything yet. I think I have to wait till around September for that.

You’ll be 6 months post op now. Are you saying you have no new growth yet from this latest transplant?

I don’t know. I can’t really tell. My hair looks decent, but my thin areas are not completely grown in. I thought the final results took about a year anyway. At least the bald patches from the donor area grew back.

Your donor is looking better. Are you happy with the recovery? Your hairline is there now, it still looks thin but you have another 5 months to go for more growth/maturing and the light directly above will make it look thinner.

I’d like to see more, but I’m happy that my donor area is basically back to normal. That was a scary experience.

Yes, shock loss that lasts longer than expected can be a scary experience. See how everything looks at 12 months.
