Dr. Bernstein. very little info/results on this site. is he top notch?

Hi, I recently had a consultation with Robert Bernstein and was very impressed with him, but I've noticed that there are surprisingly few photos of his work and reviews from patients on this and other web forums. I've read that he is one of the pioneers of follicular transplantation. But I'm wondering if his results are as good as say Hasson & Wong, Shapiro, Bisanga?

His website shows many before and after photos but they are mostly of older men with no hair on top (norwood V-VI) and I can't really compare those pics with my own hairloss situation. I am in my 30's and a norwood 3. Does Dr. Bernstein do outstanding hairline work like the other docs I mentioned?

Can anyone share their personal experience or photos from their surgery with Dr. B?

Some doctors don`t feel the need to have a big internet presence.

That can be looked at in a few ways,if ones work is consistently good why not show it off its a no brainer as far as im concerned.

from what ive seen and heard...he sounds like a great surgeon. Not one of the most prominent internet posters, but the results ive seen are great

If you believe that there are other doctors out there that have more skill and talent, then that is where you should go. The only consideration that is going to matter when you look in the mirror is having gone to who you thought was the best in the world. I know you are just looking for opinions and that €™s good. I suggest simply asking the clinic how many NW3 they have worked on and do they have photos to support the result. It would also be good to speak with those same patients in person or on the phone.

Your choice will also be reflected in how you might feel if in a face to face conversation with someone their eye €™s focus slowly drifts towards your hairline because something just doesn €™t seem right. Do yourself a very big favor and avoid any chance of having regrets.

Have you ever had a bad case of acne when you were younger or maybe a giant cold sore. Usually what happens is you start to avoid having close conversations with people because it just seems a little uncomfortable. Some people can get passed it and pretend that it's not there and get on with life. But for most what happens is they start to avoid people, they feel a little embarassed. That feeling if you have ever had it is exactly what a patient with a bad hair transplant or one that doesn't quite look natural feels. They all too often become reclusive or are just forced to hide under a hat, exactly the opposite of their initial intentions. I think if you have ever felt those type of feelings in your life and you can sum them up, it will help you make a better decision.

The acne might clear up and the cold sore will go away, but the not so great hair transplant stays with you for life.
