Congrats on your HT Modense. Im sure this short term pain will all be long term gain in 1 years time. You have given yourself the best chance with a top clinic.

Why dont you use some Nanogen or other concealer on the shock loss if its really bothering you to hide the scar area etc.

Hi All

Thanks for the comments. It really is nice to know that everything is normal at this stage. I somehow though 'OMG it's gone for good' regarding the shockloss.

I've been using Dermmatch, and will hopefully post pictures of before and after.

Hi All

I'm now five and a half weeks out from the procedure.

Thanks again for the comments about shock loss, they've stopped me from going off the deep end.

¬b`

I have some soft, downy hair appearing on the shock loss (donor) area, but to be honest I'm still really impatient.

Shock loss is tough to deal with.

How is the scar/donor looking at this stage? I'm 5.5 weeks out, 3 weeks from stitches out, 3 weeks from having hair cut with a 3 clipper.

Pictures to follow

5.5 weeks transplant area.

The redness is fading, but fading slowly. There may be some growth happening with the transplanted hair, but it's hard to say if it's transplanted or native hair.

It all looks fine to me, the hair will grow back.
I would use a little dermmatch on the scar if it bothers you.
Just try to sit back and not think of it too much.
Thanks for the update.
Cheers bm.

I've never understood people who opt for FUT, if it fails, you're basically screwed.

No you're not screwed, just like fue it' has its risks but by choosing a quality clinic you reduce these risks.

IF you go with a great Dr/Clinic in the first place scars are usually very thin. I have seen some amazing closures from Bisanga so i am confident this will be superb soon enough.;)

Hey Guys

Thanks for all your words of encouragement.

I'll be posting an update at the beginning of February as I'll be 4 months then. I started growing quite late on and a 4 month update makes more sense.

Looking at these photos, I'm reminded of how far I've come.

What a roller coaster ride this is.

Right now, I feel like if I see another poached egg, piece of salmon, walnut, blueberry, mackerel fillet I will scream. However, I'm sticking with it. My skin and hair has never been in better condition to be honest.

The thing I miss most is going to the gym. This has been a part of my life for the last 10 years and it's been tough to give it up. I plan a return in March, 6 months after the procedure.

It's been good to keep up with other people's progress, and BigMac if you get around to organising a meet-up in the London area I'd like to attend. I don't mind being gawped at by those thinking of taking the plunge.
