Placement is done in relation to hair groupings essentially and to some degree this dictates what goes where, ie single haired grafts firstly in the first few mms of hair line and then larger groupings deployed further back and at a lower density.

Once they are sorted for placement it is then wise to see grey hairs and spread as much as possibe and not to group them as such.

Greyness level will also change over time for most as the years pass.

As said a big change between 4 and 6 months for you and still a long way to go in terms of that aspect. Also the hair will mature and soften as it cycles so aside from growth still many changes over the next 6 months expected.

Hi Guys

Just back from the hairdressers.

First of all, anyone undergoing a HT needs a good hairdresser in my view - particularly if it's a large procedure involving FUT like me. So thank you to Claire for your skill and ability to respond to unusual circumstances.

Loving it.

I've pretty much renewed my whole wardrobe. It's great to be able to take some pride in my appearance. Before I got the HT I didn't even know that Zara and Reiss sold men's clothing. Now you can't get me out of there.

My wife is suffering. She complains that she can no longer get into the bathroom, and that there are all sorts of hair styling products cluttering the place up. Basically I've reverted back to my mid-twenties.

I'm lucky to have a great donor area, and what was just numbers at the start of this thread is now something I can feel.

One of the things I do is dance - Salsa, and other types of latin dance. Despite all of the gender equality and gender reversals that have taken place over the last twenty years, dance events are still pretty much the same as they always were - as a male, if you want to dance you have to walk up to women you don't know and ask them to dance.

The women only care if you can dance or not. But I care, and having some hair back makes a huge difference to my own confidence.

The pattern and lay of the hair feels good and natural. It's actually quite neutral. I am using styling product and waxes to style it up and forwards, and that's what I wanted - a chance to grow the hair and have a more modern style.

Thanks very much for sharing your experience. I have justv recently had an HT FUT done (4384 graft ) and I too felt very low after the sugery . The thing that concerned me the most is the shockmy loss around my donor strip area and especially on one side just above lef ear. This right now is so disheartening and making me feel depressed however your story has given me so much faith and i fhope that my shock loss does return back to normal.

Thanks Very Much for getting in touch with me! You really helped me out a lot here and I much appreciate it.

It very surreal that both of our procedure and were remarkable similar especially the post op effects and I hope that I too recover as good you with regards to the Shock loss around the donar area. You certainly did prevent me emotionally going of in the deep end ( I felt like I was drowning and all alone ) .

How soon did you start taking propecia after the procedure and did you suffer any of the known side effect of this drug?

Please let me know when we can meet up when you are around in.london as I am so looking forward to meeting you ?

It wasn't propecia I mentioned, but minoxidil.



Always check with your clinic before using. I used it after about 12 weeks IIRC on the areas affected by shockloss, taking care to keep it away from the scar tissue.



I don't take propecia. For me there were too many side effects, namely: low libido, depression, anxiety, brain fog. Most guys suffer no I'll effects, but those that do get hit hard in my view.



For shockloss, minoxidil is your best bet.

I was almost about to start propecia but thanks to your advice , I too will not be able to cope with the side effects!

I how often should i use minoxidol?
Should i only apply it to the shock loss area?
What do you tthink of Rogaine?

I'm 46 year old and worried about my temple areas going due to shock loss , can i use minoxidol or any other drug for this?
man this shock loss really so depressing.
