Just over 5 weeks now and I really feel that my hair is responding to treatment, it may just be me but I feel it is definitely working ! I have attached the picture from post op to a picture I took today and you can clearly tell it’s working ! Bumpiness is improving yep and the redness is there but not as bad as it has been!!

Hi Bigmac
Did you use fibres to cover up your transplant whilst waiting for growth ?

Sure did on more than one occasion. It never had any negative impact on my growth or results.

It’s good to hear the bumpiness is subsiding and not too much redness.
Your hair does look to be responding to the treatment. Happy days.

Blimey sounds great.
I don’t know much at all about fibres - I suspect no good for the front temples ?

Week 7 …. Closing in on two months… can’t wait for that apparent 3rd month sudden growth …. Meds are definitely helping and I feel they are speeding things up … can already see some new growth and the existing hair is thickening ,,,, excuse the sun burnt face ! And yes I wear a hat every Time I go out in the sun … the redness is just the redness from surgery which is taking longer than I thought it would to go

I can see the new growth popping through too. You could be a lucky early grower.
It`s good that you’re wearing your hat in the Sun. The redness in your recipient area can linger for some time. I’ll look forward to your next update.

That’s good you can see more finer hairs. Your scalp surface is looking much better too.

I can see the new hairs sprouting, exciting times ahead. You head looks redder. Is this due to the lighting conditions/flash?

Hey ye it’s the lighting … it is still a little red though, I’m on holiday and out in the sun all day but ye I am covering my head all day so no sun exposure at all

Yes, keep your head covered to avoid sunburn.
I hope you’re enjoying your holiday.

This is how it is going with topical dutasteride from home after 2 months. I am seeing recovery in the non transplanted area, it’s thicker and should continue to get thicker !!

For anyone not sure about where to go for your treatment I’ve documented my journey a little and uploaded to YouTube… I felt there wasn’t enough content out there that covered most of the usual worries and questions ! It’s long but informative ! Hope it helps

Only one week off the 3 month mark now, and I am very happy to already have some decent growth… would this be considered normal ? Or is it good early growth ? Still no side effects from topical which means I probably won’t get any now
