exercising after HT - 2 months post Op

Hi

When do you think I will be able to return to playing football? I will be 2 months post op on 25 November.

I play 5 a side, nothing silly.

I am wonder if the scar is at risk of stretching by playing.

That's why we get told to take it easy. Depending on how you heal the scar might stretch, as the scar tissue is weaker.

My advice is take it easy. BHR recommend 3 months.

I seriously miss the gym, but have take to walking everywhere (not carrying any heavy bags or anything) as a way of getting exercise.

I would wait at least two months to be safe.
You dont want to risk the ball smacking off your scar.
