Hey everyone,

I'm only two months away from my transplant with Hattingen hair. I'm not sure if I'm experiencing seasonal shedding, reaction to a hairloss therapy, or simply nothing I use is working - but suddenly, the back of my head (the top, not the crown) has become visible. The overall hair quality on my head feels extremely flimsy as well.

Have other people experienced this in the months leading up to surgery? Is it a portent of doom, or normal?

I'll send pics when my hair is dry and without products.

And and all feedback (especially personal experience) is welcome.

What therapy are you on? PRP, or new to hair loss meds etc? Any change in meds, diet, stress, etc....

Whatever you are using could be causing a shed. As Sl asks, what meds etc do you use?

Thanks to you both for responding.

I'm sort of embarrassed to continue, as my current regimen isn't so strong (it's just what I've been able to handle)

I started in with an iRestore helmet about 3 months ago, so that could likely be a culprit.
Unfortunately I was unable to tolerate Minoxidil without experiencing heart-related sides, so this became a better option.

I also spontaneously discontinued a weak DHT inhibitor I'd been taking for about a year, around late July. Perhaps those are responsible?
